Fuck tht timeline, zelda games are zelda games, they all have a storyline following link, this game, however does take place in the past, but only to explain the games that have come out previously, nintendo didn't make no damn timeline. @yoyocorndog There is in fact a timeline. Nintendo has said there is a master script connecting all the games. If you pay attention when playing all the games you will realize that there is a timeline, but they are not released consecutively that's why they are so hard to link together.

This is one of the main reasons their consoles don't sell as well as their rivals. There's just not enough diversity in their catalogue.

@unrealeck actually if you play the new zelda its much more innovative than twilight princess. Sure theres the rescuing of zelda but the game is so different from the others. Its almost as different as majoras mask was to ocarina of time. I've gotten up to the lanayru mining facility and so much has changed. Also there is no ganon in this game believe it or not. No ganon. Try it out.

If you wan't to play as left handed link though, I heard that there is an option make it lefty, but again, awkward. Let's not whine over stupid things. It started off slow with the scavenger hunt before the forest temple but these last two temples are so different from the regular zelda and you wouldn't believe it but theres no water temple and im already on the third dungeon. Naryu is a sand dungeon and it's flipping awesome.

Take Zelda seriously? To me, it has always been a younger-audience kind of series. Colorful, vibrant, an inviting. Even with darker moments, such as Link to the Past's opening sequence being drowned in a violent storm at night, or Twilight Princess in general. Still, taking Zelda seriously is like saying you're going to joke on something like Modern Warfare or Gears of War. That kind of shit is SO serious that it can only be taken thus.
