BUT! when I was walking with the LORD I was disciplined and actually felt His presence and I was in tune with the Holy Spirit. My friend, if you are feeling lost just begin to praise Him. Let go and just realize that His mercy is beyond your praises. Praise him when confronted with sin or temptation and the devil WILL flee from you. This has lifted me out from many a dark places.
My point is that you consistently take Scripture out of context and by doing so, create horrible misinterpretations. Take your pick of seemingly contradictory verses. How about when Jesus says the Father will send the Holy Spirit in John 14:26, and yet Jesus states in John 16:4 that HE will send the Holy Spirit. If I pulled this out of context it would make Jesus a liar. I can do this all day too and make the Scriptures do all sorts of horrible things. However, it would be incorrect also.

Paul was given the mystery hidden since the foundation of the world, thus he has the message for the gentiles. Enemies of YHWH could not be saved in the OT! We can look back from our vantage point, but in his time this was NEW. If gentiles cannot be saved now w/o Israel...then we are all lost.
The good works that I do are not my own. They belong to God. Eph 2:8-10, 2 Thes 1:11. It is only when I say they are my own, that they are filthy rags to God. My question would be whether or not the infilling of the Holy Ghost occurs at belief or confession. Don't the demons believe, tremble (James 2), and didn't they confess Jesus to be the Son of God in the Gospels?

If the Apostles received the Holy Ghost before Pentecost, then why were they commanded to wait in Jerusalem?

Ultimately, yes. By the saving power of Jesus Christ we have been deemed sons of God. But unless we have our lives radically changed we cannot have a holy life.
What concerns me are those that believe they are saved by a prayer and are not continually convicted of the sin. Unless we have the life promised us, we cannot be assured by example.

Paul states: Whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
Jesus states: not everyone who call me Lord Lord shall enter into my Kingdom.
Jesus said: Me you will not believe, but a man who comes in his own name - him will you believe
Paul stated his personal pronoun 949 times - he came in his own name - and just like Jesus said - him will You believe.

Let me show you what you are doing by pulling Scripture out of context. This will make Peter (who you claim was a true Apostle) look like a liar.
In John 2:19-21, Jesus states that he will raise HIMSELF from the dead.
In Acts 2:24 Peter states that GOD raised Jesus from the dead.
Now, this is exactly what you are doing. You are misunderstanding Scripture, removing context and making a contradiction where there isnt one.

Ultimately, yes. By the saving power of Jesus Christ we have been deemed sons of God. But unless we have our lives radically changed we cannot have a holy life.
What concerns me are those that believe they are saved by a prayer and are not continually convicted of the sin. Unless we have the life promised us, we cannot be assured by example.
Old saying "the proof is in the pudding" is actually misquoted. Its actually, "the proof of the pudding is in the eating."

Thanks. Satan got the ball rolling, and the angels he beguiled got it going in a far bigger way. We deal with them still continually. According to the Bible, the spirits of their children, the Nephilim, wander the Earth as seperated speirits, demons, and this is one of the biggest problems for the world still.

yea! Jesus lives in all of us. those who are saved realize this and are happy for it; happy to relinquish control over to Him; happy to have such a close relationship to Him. Pray for everyone that they have this very same relationship, because it is so wonderful! :) God=Love

oh I love this song! we use to sing it in church. it is so much easier to sin then to climb the ladder to salvation. I believe in god but sometimes have a weak faith. life is hard! I guess the problem with that is we make it hard. this was nice thank you...
