A dimmer on the LEDs would make it look even better. Insted of having them turn instantly on and off, hook them up to a dimmer, so that the lights go on and off softly. It looks more HiTech this way

Would be awesome if you made it such that different weights will light up different coloured LEDs. Just think of jug of Long Island Tea changing colour on that! :P
