BRILLIANT!! In the early 80s I had a Casio MT-70, which also had those One Key Play buttons. Some aspects of those early Casios were silly, but in all honesty I got my start on an MT-40 (Christmas '82), then 3.5-odd years later bought my first Hammond... the rest, as they say, is poverty!
I just got one of these bad boys at goodwill for a dollar. The light came on when I got it home but no sound, I fiddled with the inside and got it to play flawlessly.. for about a hour.. then bam the thing wont turn on no LED standby from a 9v plug and nothing from the battery (input says 6v but the voltage regulator does not seem to be melted). Sometimes when left off for a little while the LED comes on for a second then goes silent.
I just bought one off eBay and noticed that you can't press 2 keys @ once. Only one key will make a sound instead of the 2 keys blending to make one sound. Is mine broken or what that just how they were made since they are very very old?
to get a synth with multi-note, look for an X-note Polyphonic, 12-note is prolly the most common currently, tho ya only have 10 fingers, tho I have seen pro models with 16 and 24 note poly.

Its monophonic. It can only play one note at a time. :)

This was the 1st keyboard I ever had. Wish I still could find one, and for cheap. I still remember how to play the DEMO song.
