  • I get stuck in a boot loop after selecting Installer partition in the boot menu thing.

  • @tickabull specs?

  • @iHackUrMac MSI G31TM-P21 Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500. I have Snow Leopard working but I'm trying to get Lion.

  • @tickabull boot with -v....whats your gpu?

  • If you are doing a new hackintosh and you are installing snow leopard can you partition into different partitions from the beginning?

  • What if you do not have OS X to start with?

  • @ryan4888 Then install snow leopard.

  • @iHackUrMac But what if i could install all the files to the USB from a friends Mac? Then install it? Does that work?

  • @ryan4888 Set up a unibeast drive from your friends mac. I have a vid on it.

  • @iHackUrMac Hey dude im trying to dual boot lion and win 7, the download is from pirate bay could u either guide me through or make a tutorial on how to ive spammed youtube, for two days triying to find one but a guide or vid would be appreciated greatly.

  • @bigbigcarslivecom To dual boot it's recommended that you have two seperate hard drives. One for osx and the other for windows.

  • @iHackUrMac thanks man, can i also partition, thats no the safest i knw but yeah- i subbed.

  • @bigbigcarslivecom No because then it will boot automatically into windows.

  • @iHackUrMac thanks for the help, keep the vids CUMing- see what i just did there

  • Why cant i i use a version of piratebay? Or could i use a partition from somes mac and do itmlike that?

  • @insideoutsider056 Because using the version off thepiratebay may not work...oh and it's kinda illegal, but i'm not one to judge about that.

  • Why would you go through all this trouble when you can just install mac os x lion over snow leopard? it's simpler :o

  • @TekTut0rials If you want a clean install or if you want to install on a separate HD :)

  • @iHackUrMac Fair argument, But I just installed a new copy of snow leopard updated it to 10.6.8 and did your other guide with unibeast works perfect, I'm running world of warcraft max graphics, Portal 2 max graphics everything works amazingly. Although I can't really say I'm surprised So anyone reading this comment don't expect to be able to do that my comp specs are:

    nVidia 240GT (Graphics card)

2.33 GHz Intel core to Quard core Xeon (Processor)

    16GB ram 1333MHz DDR3

    Good vid thumbs up :)

  • What are ur PC specs?

  • @Vlaadz350 i have a vid on my channel

  • @IHackUrMac it is not wired. It is strange because both touchpad and mouse are moving the cursor but the click doesn't work

  • @HoSpeLL do you have compatible hardware?

  • @iHackUrMac Yes everything was working for me in Snow Leopard. But now ....... :X so frustrated :X ........ The f*****g click

  • When I boot into the Installer partition, I get the apple logo, then my monitors go white and I get the swirly multicoloured Apple loading cursor and it stays there, What should i do?

  • @Vijaydj87 what are your specs?

  • @iHackUrMac Don't worry, strangely I got it working by installing Unibeast to the 'Installer' partition of my hard drive, it worked and now I'm running Lion. However, my sound is an on off thing, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, any fix? I am using Voodoo HDA (The latest one) My specs are: Asus P7P55D (not a realtek sound motherboard), Intel Core i5, 4GB DDR3 RAM, nVidia GT240

  • @Vijaydj87 hmm idk, there are a TON of people with that mobo on the forum so ask them

  • Can you send you background plzzz

  • @TheSorryProductions um yea ill post it in the description later

  • What if we can't click on the arrow where we are choosing the language of the installation of Lion. I can move the mouse but I can't click anywhere?

  • @HoSpeLL is it a wired mouse? And do you have compatible hardware>

  • i need help to the drivers of this config

    please help me:

    INTEL CORE I7 2600k

    BOARD GIGABYTE H67A UD3H-B3

Nvidia Gforce 9500 GT 1 GIGA DDR II

DDR III 8 GIGAS KINGSTON (2X4GB)

Please i need some drivers video sound and lan

somebody give me a chance thanks

  • @elsemental34 use multibeast

  • So you got your snow leopard up and running perfectly including your quartz extreme is activated, but you can't use screenflow?

  • @IndonesiaRayaBanget i can but i didnt use it because when i restart the recording would stop i would be able to show when im not on the desktop

  • are u using ubuntu? so that means without the need of an existing hackintosh i can install lion on a seperate partition ...yea?

  • @ramthewebsurfer no haha im on mac os x snow leopard, that's just a wallpaper

  • I'm considering getting Samsung's Series 7 Chronos. It has:

    -Intel i7 Processor 2675QM

    -6GB RAM (upgradeable to 8GB)

-AMD Radeon 6750M GPU (with 1GB of graphic memory)

    -750 GB 7200RPM HDD

Many tell me I should consider getting a Mac because I'm a Bachelor of Fine Arts student, but I think having a PC with such good specs dual booted with OS X Lion would be the best of both worlds for a cheaper price. Do you think Lion would run just as well on this laptop as it would on a Macbook Pro?

  • @Marksman230591 well its a laptop so it most likely wont work

  • @iHackUrMac What does that have to do with anything? I saw a bunch of videos here on YouTube of guys dual-booting OS X Lion on their Windows laptops.

  • @Marksman230591 read this:

    tonymacx86[dot]com/viewtopic[dot]php?f=170&t=24846

  • do you have to install it on a different HDD or can you intall it on the same one as the Snow Leopard (granted it will get wiped out)?

  • @BushTurkeyProduction you can install it on the same one as the snow leopard but it wont get wiper out unless you go to erase

  • n offense but this is really unclear... could you list all the downloads we need in the description + is this an upgrade or clean install? (you do understand what a clean install is - to install lion without snow leopard b4)

  • @ModifyPhase all downloads are in description... and a clean install means installing an operating sytem without having any files other the OS files, which is what i did

  • do u have internet because the last time i did it i did nto have it and it sadi u need a firewire

  • @TheUsama603 hmmm, well you can just run multibeast again and install your network kext

  • Can you please let us know if u have tried it with AMD Quad core like the Phenom based processors? thanks

  • @anilm2010 this doesn't work on AMD

  • you need snow leopard from before to install this??

  • @AnayRogerFederer yep, or lion

  • @iHackUrMac Will this program be on every user or just the one it was downloaded on?

  • Using a PC with mac and a linux desktop picture WTF!?

  • @feventkiller hahahaha, its was a nice background

  • Can you do this on Lion Itself? I don't have snow leopard anymore.

  • @iHackUrMac can i do this on Win vista with a intel centrino?

  • @CorruptCoreCaption hmmm probably not

  • Is there any way that I'll be able to install this without having a mac/osx in the first place?

  • @lonelyfiddler yep, kakewalk and tonymac is going to announce a new method

  • @iHackUrMac gonna check their site. ~___~ What I did is I download a VM first just to create the bootable USB/DVD XD

  • @lonelyfiddler haha

  • can I install the OS X Lion on a AMD processor? almost all the videos only shows the intel... here's my specs:

    Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 P320 2.1GHz

Video: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

    RAM: 3GB DDR3

    HD: 250GB HDD

    Mother Board: AMD M780G

its a notebook (Acer ASPIRE 5551-1_BR742), and it comes with a single HD.

(I'm from Brazil... that's the reason of the BR)

  • @slash8447 no, amd is not compatible

  • I think everyone is forgetting the actual meaning of PC. PC means personal computer, and technically all consumer-affordable computers are PCs.

  • @SunDager thx

  • @SunDager then wait do u say mac or pc ?

  • why aint mac a pc?

  • can u make a vid how to dual boot with win 7?

  • @myanmarjason on the same HD???

  • @iHackUrMac Now I figured it out now, thz.........but iBoot doesn't work with lion ( on my computer ) ( don't know why ,so i go with Chimera )

  • @myanmarjason ok good

  • @myanmarjason I agree can we have a dual boot on win 7?

  • @pipesfranco yes.........but u need to re install snow leopard after installing win 7 ( make a new partition even b4 installing lion ) and then login with iboot and then install Chimera there and then u can login into lion..........and if u want to delete snow leopard that's ok..... install Chimera in lion then delete SL partition.

  • @pipesfranco ill see if i can get it out

  • after install lion on the snow leopard on the same hd, is it possible to boot back to SL to install Xmove? THZ

  • @myanmarjason yea

  • Is this asus G74sx ? if so, how's the sound, VGA and network drives?

  • @OmarMohiFarghaly no, its a custom build

  • could i use 1gig of ram?

  • The capacity of the thumb drive you copy the installer to actually does matter. It needs to be at least 4GB because I have already done this multiple times on my mac and the OS X Installer takes up 3.85 GB. The installer downloaded from the Mac App Store itself weighs in at 3.77 GB. So, yeah. It matters. Get a 4 GB thumb drive if you are going to do this.

  • @upfromtheshadows you dont need to put the lion installer on the flash drive

  • People, It's not recomended to follow this torturial, because you almost always need spefic settings for different pc.

  • @MrVebbX actually if you have compatible hardware, its still the same concept, the only thing that will most likely be different would your multibeast settings which i stated i the video.

  • Do i need lepo to on install this ???

  • @cannancool yes, snow leopard, or if you have access to another mac, theres another way

  • yeah, I hear you about an apple computer being to expensive for the specs they offer in there machines. I agree it is easier to upgrade a PC vs Mac.

  • do you notice a performance boost or decrease when running OS X Lion on a PC? And what specs is your PC running OS X Lion?

  • do you prefer using OS X on PC more or less than on a apple made machine?

Do you run windows on your Mac via boot camp?

  • @greysmoke321 with a hackintosh you get better specs for less money and can get better upgradability, if i had money id get an apple machine no question. i dont have a mac, if you meant on my hackintosh then es but you cant use bootcamp, i just have it installed on a separate hard drive and i can choose to boot from it on my chimera screen, ill have a dual boot vid out soon

  • interesting how your snow leopard hack validates an official copy download of OS X Lion from the apple online app store.

  • @greysmoke321 well its like a real mac.

  • is that a laptop (hack) you are using? if so, could you tell me how to make a hacklap?

  • @drnasdaq no im using a desktop, install mac os x on a laptop is very difficult and i wouldn't recommend it, your best bet is to go to tonymacx86 and ask there

  • I think you have the same monitor I do for my hackintosh lol

  • @Ybtv09 haha sweet

  • I already have a MBP but wanna upgrade to the 3.4GHz i7 16GB RAM AMD 6780, but don't have it yet, can I install Lion from the beginning?

  • @TheAppleReviewGuy wat do you mean??? on what computer???

  • ihackurmac can you do a fresh install without hacing a snow leopard installed already? i mean use iboot 3.1.1 and install lion in an empty partition ? will this work? my iboot 3.0.3 cant boot lion...

  • @Xalkfamily not yet... because the only way you can get lion is by downloading it from the mac app store which requires SL. But it will be possible soon. But it will be possible...

  • oh and my keyboard doens't work, ps2 on laptop :(

  • @MrGuy359 you did this on a laptop???

  • @iHackUrMac yeah I just need to run multibeast and I think it'll be fine, I now need to solve the keyboard issue, if I had a usb keyboard it would be fine but I haven't and I can't afford some 10 euro keyboard so :( but yeah it'll be fine, if you want we can chat and stuff :D I love your videos, oh and I'm an IT Technician (:

  • hey I followed this but chimera got deleted by the intallation and now I can't boot to lion, how can I boot to lion so I can run multibeast and run it?

  • @MrGuy359 use iboot 3.1

  • @iHackUrMac :'( just used my last cd on the some hackboot thingy that got me to the setup but didn't had ps/2 keyboard kexts so... and my 3.1 cd doesn't boot, it just doesn't do anything :'( so sad, I'll figure it out :D

  • @iHackUrMac iBoot Not work for me :( It make loop restart

  • @pote2639conan whats your hardware? what iboot are you using?

  • @iHackUrMac System spec

    P7P55 LX

    i3 540

    GTS 450

    500 GB HDD

    4 GB RAM

    Lastest iBoot

  • @pote2639conan you should have more options in the bios, if not flash to 1102

  • @iHackUrMac I Already flash and updated my BIOS to 1102

  • @pote2639conan ok now what are your bios options??? you need to have more than just enable virtualization tech

  • @iHackUrMac Nah never mind now I am on lion :P

  • U copied cpukid00's video

  • @mrusskevin im pretty sure i didnt copy anyone...im doing this specifically for my hardware. When tech reviewers unbox a product for example if tld unboxed the 2011 macbook air and theunits3 unboxed one would they have copied each others videos??? No. I know cpukid to some extent and i gave some info on how to use xmove i dont find him as competition, just another person that does hackintosh tutorials, i enjoy watchinh every single one of his videos. I put out my lion upgrade video before him.

  • @mrusskevin and i not once thought he copied me. So are you saying he copied my lion upgrade video???

  • can i install this on my dell inspiron 1440 it has dual core?
