@childofconvenant Your previous comments were prayers rather than discussing the topic I brought up in the video so I deleted them; please try again. (And Jesus specifically warned about praying in public.)
@triftenC no they were not prayers they were declarations. There is a difference between praying and declaring. Prayers are supplications asking, declarations are using ur authority and putting satan in place. My friend told me when I go to school that i should cool down my "religiousness" i identified it as satan and declared openly that "i shall move from glory to glory in Jesus Name".
@triftenC due to my personal challenges at that time in being directed by God i could see satan in the content trying to put me in doubt so as Jesus did to the satan in Peter "satan get thee behind me..." so i did to to the satan in the content. using thanksgiving as my declarations. John 11:41-42 Jesus prayed openly as lead.. but anyway u did well in removing them if they came off as prayers...peace
@childofconvenant And kinda the point of my video is how do you distinguish between God directing you and Satan directing you? If Satan is supposed to be such a master of trickery and humans are so weak/fallible, how would one be able to tell?
@triftenC thats what u believe so how can God lead u? alot of Christians even myself at times got this problem. Satan is a master of trickery when u are in the flesh, but when u have the spirit of Christ and the word of God u can't be tricked. Satan is darkness, the word is light, the light shines in darkness and the darkness comprehendeth not? Don't be so scared of satan trust in God. i really can't answer in full here, but the more u relate with God the more u will know what is from God
@childofconvenant he that comes to God must believe that he is, if u believe so much in satans lies and his decieving capability how do u expect to be directed by God, i do have some practical things i use personally though
@childofconvenant So the more you relate to God, the more you know whether it's God or Satan to you? So you have to learn through trial and error? How is that different from you just getting ideas and thoughts on your own and learning to sort out which are good and which are bad?
@triftenC Are you Buddhist? or perhaps you have had some experience with Buddhism or the like? anywayz this seems like the whole objective subjective debate in buddhism. The more u relate with God the more sensitive your are to his leadings and nudgings, just as two close friends can nudge each other w/out verbal communication and kno exactly what it means, due to their intimacy so it is with God. You are intimate with him and therefore know his leadings, when he wants u to do something and not
@childofconvenant I'm an atheist. (Buddhism does have some good ideas as well as some nonsense.) What's the difference between "figure out which ideas are from god and which are from satan" and "figure out which ideas are good and which are bad"?
@triftenC well playa, its a bit longish but i'll try simple it our for u, u are in a relationship with God thru Christ and God communicates to you, someone u are relating with must have an impression on u that would make u know its from him.. I personally know via my spirit, God doesn't deal with my mind he deals with my spirit, the spirit doesn't think it knows. God works thru ur spirit to get to ur mind, satan works thru ur mind to get to ur spirit, It is not ur mind that's in relation w/ God
@triftenC it is ur spirit that relates with God, ur spirit relates with ur mind (soul) and ur mind relates with ur sensuality (senses), this is the state of a born again believer, His spirit is born again, his mind is being born again, and his body will be born again (thats y Jesus took 3 days to rise). A fallen man is corrupt because his sensuality rules his mind and his mind rules his spirit. Jesus set the spirits free (1 Peter 3:18).
@childofconvenant And satan can't fake that feeling? Also, what's your source of this information? How do you know it's reliable? Same goes for that book you are quoting.
@triftenC but ur mind is set on ur beliefs that they must be right and can't be wrong, and that Christianity isn't the truth. Such won't help if u wan know the truth? any how sha
@childofconvenant Yes, I'd like a healthy discussion, not dismissive comments about my mind being set in my beliefs. How set is your mind in your beliefs? Would you be willing to consider the possibility that you have accomplished all you have without the assistance of a god?
@triftenC whatever is satan is darkness and what ever is of Jesus(the word of God) is light. Period. The word of God is light and that light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehendeth not (Jn 1:5) i.e it becomes clear that darkness is darkness. Jesus (the Word of God) is the light of men. When u have the Word of God alive in you it is light (in the spirit realm), u've heard about how he came that the blind eyes see. I.e spiritually speaking those whose spiritual senses of discernment.
@triftenC were made blind by sin/bondage to satan had there eyes open and they now see the light, have the light in them and hence can see and distinguish between good and evil, christ and satan. I know this may seem foolish to u but, I am my source i have no other source this is a relationship between my Father and I, its like asking a son the source of how he know when his Dad is leading him. but our relationship is based on the "living" word of God so that is my source as well..
@triftenC i know i haven't fully answered ur question, i enjoy this since i myself was once plagued with the problem of knowing God's direction, committed "suicidal" decisions due 2 confusing/ not knowing His directions. enjoy answering this cuz i have never been posed this question in a way that will cause me to look inward and consciously asses how i have come to discern between what is of God and satan or my flesh, i assume u desire a non accusatory healthy discussion so i send it publicly
I know the will of the creator of the Universe, because I am the creator of my universe. Everything around me only exists when I am here to observe it. When I die and lose my ability to observe it, as far as I am concerned, it ceases to exist. My will is the will of the creator. I am the creator. Problem solved.
the will of the /a greater of the /a univers would be to make all u high pawers seem like total dum fks for thinking ur better thn some one els any one els...when ur life and gains are based off peaces of truth or fragments of mind,,witch ass kissers back up with numbers and thre-t.....more or less... u think wat u r told and for tht u r my thot...nuthung more then a photo of a second of my posibleity of out comes......just a river trying 2 b the drop that grows the powerfull
Kind of like the so called christians in the military who kill upon command without question and somehow rationalize it as being the right thing to do?
This video is pointless because Satan is the master of trickery. It's doesn't matter which one people think is the greatest. Both the old saying and your point is valid. I don't know why you would need to counter it in a one upping manner.
@WillGotti It's meant to be a sort of reductio ad absurdum. If one believes that Satan exists and is such a master of trickery, then one can trust nothing.
@triftenC Well I pretty much live by that anyways. Trust nothing. When people say trust me, I always have in the forefront of my mind that I can be let down. I even tell some people I don't even trust myself to do certain things because we're all human, it's life that shit will happen etc. But in general because of that I put my trust in God. I mean some of us can trust parents family etc. to a certain degree and some of us can't.
@WillGotti So do you think god gives you some sort of guidance? If so, how can you be sure that it's actually god and not satan (since he is the master of trickery)? If god doesn't give any guidance, by "trust in god", do you mean just having a feeling that things will turn out okay?
@triftenC I understand that. It was just so much to say. I figured since it was just you and I talking and I was going into personal experiences I just chose to go private.
@WillGotti I gues from my perspective, it seems like you are giving credit for good decisions to god and blaming bad decisions on satan, rather than considering that you may be the one who came up with various ideas and chose your course of action.
Regarding your "god is my co-pilot" story, I believe you that you don't remember driving for those 5 minutes or so. I find errors in human memory and perception a more reasonable explanation than supernatural forces. (cont...)
@triftenC Well that's why I don't like telling that story and generally keep it to myself. It's so unbelievable that people will try to find some scientific reason. I fell a sleep then woke up. I didn't forget waking up or not having my hands on the wheel or not having my feet on the pedals. Nothing scientific about that at all. I don't know about 15,000 people but if you want to get scientific, I should've been killed and I wasn't.
@triftenC It seems to me you have something against God but don't mind entertaining a video about Satan. Those people that died falling asleep at the wheel, their time was obviously up. You nor I have control over when someone someplace elses time is up. There's people who've been saved from certain death. I was one. I do choose my course of actions but I also choose to thank God for guidance. Nothing wrong with that. Satan isn't here to help me so I don't credit him with anything positive.
@triftenC Either way the suspension was very poor. You HAD to have your hands on the wheel or the car would drift bad. So your error in memory theory is extremely weak to non-existent in this case. I'd like to see you take a crack at why my hands weren't on the wheel and why my feet weren't on the pedals but the car was going a steady 60mph staying in it's lane. Some of us experience things others simply won't. My parents are religious and my dad hasn't seen anything spiritual but I have..
What do you think about the roughly 15000 people who die each year (in the U.S., most of which are Christian) from falling asleep at the wheel? God thought you should survive and those other folks weren't worth it?
@triftenC No I don't man. I think human life is valuable. It never crossed my mind that my life is more valuable than anyone elses. Like I said, I believe we each have a number. What it is? I don't know. When my times comes I'll be a statistic myself. Hopefully I'll be fondly remembered. *tear* LOL. I just believe we all have a purpose. Theirs was fulfilled up until their point of death and you and I are still here to fulfill ours.
@triftenC I'll be honest, I do have times where I do wonder about the afterlife and if all of the things I've been taught do exist. Like I said though, that scenario for me really made my belief rock solid. Like you said how about those other 15,000 people. I've been given too many chances to ignore.
I do believe in the Christian God from the Bible. I'd rather believe in something rather than not. When I die, I don't want to think oh no I screwed up if everything doesn't just fade to black.
@WillGotti So, Pascal's Wager to some degree? So you believe that you need to believe in god to satisfy his (her/its) requirements in the afterlife? The "results" of this life have some effect for all eternity afterwards?
@triftenC I've believed in God since I was a little boy. Not because of Pascal's Wager. I was just answering something you could relate with. You asked "to some degree". Now you're making the question look loaded.
@BrightStaroftheDawn Not hearing voices specifically. Just if someone believes that god and satan are real and they think they are receiving instructions from someone, they have no reliable way to distinguish between the two. Especially when people think a book filled with murder, genocide, rape, and slavery is a good source for morality.
allah is satan and he has deceived billions. Its so simple according to Islam, Adam built the Kabba in Mecca then Abraham and Ishmael rebuilt it.... well there is no history or archaelogy evidence about this and take in mind that around arabia there is alot of archaelogy well preserved because of low rainfall. If there is no evidence of such claims Islam is a Huge Lie and behind it allah aka Satan.
@triftenC It's because your sense of right and wrong is not utterly dependent on a figment of your imagination! That's its biggest flaw, obviously. For shame! This is still something that bugs me about the concept of a deity. I've yet to get an explanation how people know that the voice in their head is God and not the trickster deity of Christianity.
Personally, I think the devil's greatest trick is convincing people there's "God" who impregnated a human , so he could be born, then sacrificed himself to himself.
