Jordan both had a low population and was already on friendly terms with the British, who had placed Abdullah into power.   • as an American I think we should stay out of the Arab Israeli conflict. It's their territory, let them handle it. If we are friends with Israel it sends the wrong message, and vice versa. We need to be neutral.

  • During WW2 a very small minority adhered to Zionism, they had a design on the land of palestine. That's where the conflict came from, they believed palestine was empty. But it was populated by a people with a high level of education and commerce. It was overwhelmingly Arab. Obiously to those educated on the subject can see that the Zionists (with huge financial and media corporation backing) are corrupting the truth.

However, without getting side-tracked by your question, my point was that this land was occupied by a very large Arab population. The land was righfully theirs and were given the opportunity to decline to share that land. They did decline this and were then forced from their land.

That's name given to the area by the Romans when they took control of the area. From roman times to today the Israelite's have lived there, the "palestinian people" were made up just to wage war on Isreal.
