@prosteelheader bowling is not how people think it is its really hard and little things like even where the lane is located or even if the pins are not exactly the same every time so everything is a factor and you could NEVER MASTER BOWLING
I totally forgot they were throwing on wood lanes...I just like longer oil patterns. I wish they didn't replace the ToC pattern with the 40 foot US open pattern. It was really entertaining to see ppl try to strike on 50 feet of oil.
Oh, definitely. Cheetah on wood is *very* tough. You have to have either a lot of speed, or a type of revolution that makes the ball stop hooking. Miss right, it's bad, miss left, it's even worse.
You know, when this event first started, I really fought it. I thought that it was detrimental to the tradition that is bowling with 6 frames and race to 6 strikes.
But over the last two years, I'm actually starting to enjoy this event. Maybe it's the format, maybe it's the $150,000, maybe it's because the biggest names in bowling battling it out.
I commend Motel 6 and the PBA for this creative annual event.

It just needs to have a tougher pattern. Might I recommend...ToC?

it was picked by the people not bad choice. the lanes its on and the lighting being closer to the lanes, old wood etc..
made it a lil harder then the standard condition

yes i agree to synto and po1son,,
this is prolly the hardest lane condition to strike, for normal people,,
but these are 2 of the greatest, so it looks hella lot easier than it is ;)
