Well technically they dont sound it and they have even stated that they have transitioned from melo death to a more alternative metal sound. They were much more melodeath back in the chainheart machine and predator's portrait days, but they are still amazing and incredibly talented. And as for Black Dahlia Murder being melo death, that is a joke and insult to the entire melo death genre. I don't care what their wiki page says they are not melo death and they suck ass.

But BDM are amazing, and yes they are melo death, one thing you may not know that they are also classed as a technical melo death (Along with, Arsis, In Mourning and others) so they have slightly different sound. But they really are a melo death band never the less, just listen to there songs and music. I find them as a great band, maybe not up there with bands like In Flames and others, but still a good solid band with some epic songs.
