yeah true. But Saladin was not part of the Turkish army. he actually fought the sultans who were allied to the crusaders before the siege of Jerusalem. Saladin never attacked the city but sieged for 3 months until he offered them terms
This game is great, Love it. The English dominate imo I love reading about historic battles from the english too they destroyed the french so many times.

In this battle which happen in 1097 not 1096 this was mostly a cavalry battle. This was the first time the crusaders went up against Turkish cavalry
