Because it was Lord Lew Grade who finacially backed Anderson. Grade is also the one who supported Anderson's move to live action.

WOW! I used to watch these shows as a kid. It is great to see HOW they were made and what went into them! They really were very advanced (and many times unintentionally funny). They made a big impact on my imagination. Thanks for sharing this documentary! Takes me waaaay back!
