  • whats the background track your playing

  • @gmoolah804 An original with all major seventh chords. The roots are I, bIII, bVI, bII.

  • wow

  • @DarkThoot You can do this too, I guarantee it.

  • @BlikeNave I'm bassplayr sir,but I'm not that good ( I need a lot of study).

However I like this song, ideas and progressions;I find this fresh.

  • @DarkThoot Thanks darkthoot. I've recently gotten into bass myself, I'm currently playing for a trombone centered jazz band. I appreciate your feedback. I have a Jazz Metal playlist on the right side of my channel if you'd like to see more videos in this style. Bass is most fun for me when it's like a jazzy walking style, with constant notes and thinking. After playing guitar for so long it wasn't a difficult transition to make to bass since the instruments are so similar.

  • Fluid! Love this!!!

  • @0Metalbride0 :D Thank you! I have a jazz metal playlist on the right side of my channel with more videos of the genre. You would likely enjoy jazz metal (1) as it was made in the same month as this one.

  • @0Metalbride0 jazzz ? gooood .. metal ?? gooood . i love it

  • First 10 seconds "MY COCK!!! ITS IMPLODING!!!!!"

  • @TheDailyDigest That's the effect I was aiming for with my listeners.

  • @BlikeNave c;

  • Woah. This is amazing.

  • What's the backing track? This is so sick.

  • @PSNDaSingh It's just a drum loop and some chords. The chords are all the basic "Major 7th" chords that you could learn very quickly by any number of youtubers. I can send you a personal message with more detail if you really want to learn what I played. Thanks for the support man. You can make music like this too!

  • Awww man :D this is such a wonderfully trippy piece of music! MORE PLZ

  • @BAK87 :] :] :] Thanks Bak. I have a jazz metal playlist on the right side of my channel with more videos in this style if you'd like to explore them. Thanks for the kindness.

  • @BlikeNave actually i did see it before i saw this and i choose now to write a comment and sweeping in jazz dude i think ur like the first one to come up with something like this i wish i could do this kind of stuff

  • @openmindedmusicman 1) I'm sure it was done before me no doubt, there just aren't too many youtube videos with this specific style. 2) You totally can do it. If I could do it then anyone can! Thanks for the motivational words.

  • i never thought i'd see the day dude U rock make more

  • @openmindedmusicman Thanks mate, I like the name. If you liked this one then you will likely enjoy "Jazz Metal (1)" that was recorded just a few weeks before this. I have a "Jazz Metal" playlist on my page with other originals in a similar style to this up. Check it out if you like, and thank you for the support and encouragement :]

  • Holy shit I LOVE THIS!

  • @pabloriverdx :] Then Pablo sir you are in luck. I have a "Jazz Metal" series in the making, with many more of these on the play list on my page. The closest one to this style would be "Jazz metal (1)" which was recorded only about a week before this one. Thanks for enjoying it!

  • My boyfriend & I enjoy this!! \m/

    Nicely done dude.

  • @AshleyTheMusician :D Thanks Ashley + company haha. This is Jazz metal (2), I have a bunch of other jazz metal videos on the "Jazz Metal" playlist on my channel, you may like those sounds too if you enjoyed this one. Thank you both for watching!

  • @BlikeNave

    You're VERY Welcome!

Awesome, I'll get around to it when I can, I'm sure he will too!

Keep it up, wish we had guitarists like you locally, I'm lead vocalist

in a band, so far it's just me, my guitarist Cody, & my brother, Jayson.

But, hopefully we'll prosper with some awesome music & more band mates!

    Rock on \m/

  • Your good man but i dont think jazz and metal mix well

  • @jordan3033 Thanks man. You're not even ready for my next installment of jazz metal, Jazz Metal (6) then.... it has jazz chords on the guitar, electronic sine waves and extremely low bass from dubstep, funk elements and a rap/hip-hop like beat. Jazz + dubstep + metal. It's only going to get crazier from here. Sorry it didn't do it for ya though, maybe next time. :] I appreciate your feedback.

  • Great man!! Congrats!!!

  • @nicotrivium Thanks a lot Nico, I appreciate it. If you liked this Jazz metal (1) on my page I have a jazz metal playlist with Jazz metal (0), Jazz metal (2), Jazz metal (3), and Jazz metal (4). Have a listen, they vary in styles and you make enjoy one of them like you enjoyed this one. They are better quality as well, with bass also instead of just drums and guitar.

  • @keyboardfanatic1 I'm glad I didn't disappoint you! I have more jazz metal videos on my "Jazz Metal" playlist that can be found on my page. Thanks for the appreciation :D

  • i wasn't sure what to expect when i clicked on this, but i'm glad i did now... good fucking work, man!

  • @neptoon021 Thanks a thousand times Nept :} If you look on my page I have a "Jazz Metal" playlist that has four other Jazz Metal Songs on there if you want to hear them. Hopefully you can enjoy some of those as well. Stay cool.

  • This has made me attempt to learn bass sweeping. No dice. Maybe I should get a guitar.

  • Amazing technique.

  • @MattiaMarzapane Thank you Mattia. I've had a year of practice since then and have released new jazz metal videos since. Do you play? If you don't then with some practice you could play this song no problem in a pretty short amount of time.

  • I thought this was gonna be shitty but you have out done yourself, infact i want a HD recording of this if possible

  • @NASguitarist4life :] I'm really, really happy after reading your comment. I'm glad you liked this! This is the first video I intentionally made for the jazz metal series. There's also jazz metal (0), jazz metal (2), Jazz metal (3) and "Space" Jazz Metal 4. I'm working on jazz metal (5) right now. You can see them on the Jazz Metal playlist on my page. I may redo this one because ppl are asking for the HD version :] If I do I'll definitely let you know. Thanks for the support Nas.

  • I know you did this ages ago, but you should re-do your jazz metal stuff at a CD quality level and then release it. I'd probably grab it myself because it's pretty relaxing. I'm not even a fan of jazz.

  • @stephenwrightmusic I'm still creating new Jazz Metal videos as we type. You can hear them on the "Jazz Metal" playlist on my page. I'm working on Jazz metal (5). The quality gets better as time goes on because I keep improving my setup. I could release them and I'd love to do it for free but I don't really know much about how I'd do that :\ Do you know any easy ways I could distribute songs for free to download and listen?

  • @BlikeNave

Actually yes. Reverb Nation lets you upload and sell music for free, as well as other things like merchandise, cds, etc. with small amounts taken out of the profit based on how much it costs them. Like, I have a CD up and it's $7, their fee for CDs is $3, so whenever anyone buys it I make a $4 profit.

If you don't really care about people buying it and just want your music out there, uploading songs to Mediafire would work. Just leave song links in the description.

  • @BlikeNave

(Part 2) As for sound quality, I just mean you should re-record the older ones to the higher standards you keep setting for yourself. Like, if you had this song at the quality level of Jazz Metal(4) which I just checked out, it would be fantastic. You're a skilled guitarist.

  • @BlikeNave There are infinite ways!! SoundCloud (if you'd prefer just pure songs, no frills) and BandCamp (if you want to set up a profile and everything) are both really great services and there are options to make songs available for free download. You can even use the BandPage app on Facebook to allow even easier access. Of course, if you want to sell songs, there's TuneCore to put em on iTunes and... profit!

  • @TheAftermathTube :] Ok thank you so much this helps a lot.

  • @BlikeNave My pleasure. I look forward to seeing some tracks released.

  • @stephenwrightmusic The ideas are also jazz based, so they don't present themselves directly as jazz sometimes. Just a huge influence but not strictly in the style. I appreciate the feedback and comment :]

  • Great stuff! Ever listen to Frith, Sharrock, McLaughlin, James Blood Ullmer, The Flying Luttenbachers?

  • @Bodhidrop Thank you. No I have not heard of them, but I will since you brought them up.

  • this is my other channel :)

  • You my friend rock \m/o-O\m/ Awesome playing. 5/5

  • @RyanDunnMusic Thanks man, I appreciate it. If you like this style, I have a few other Jazz Metal songs on a playlist called "Jazz Metal." I'm currently working on Jazz metal (5), I hope you can enjoy those too! Thanks for the nice words.

  • this is awesome i wish i could sweep like u, u should put a how to vid on sweeping

  • this is awesome i wish i could sweep like u, u should put a how to vid on sweeping

  • @mikeomas There are a ton of people who you can learn from that are better teachers than me, but ya I'll think about it because a lot of people are curious. I would just make a vid explaining how I personally went about learning how to sweep. If I do then I'll send it to you. Thanks for watching! By the way if you practice you can sweep no problem. It'd take like a month to get to being able to play slowly, then after about a year of practice you could probably play this song no problem :]

  • @BlikeNave thanks please do send it to me and no problem your great at this keep it up and ye true ive been try for a while but no one really teached me how to but if you do it will be much appreciated thank and i really like how you reply to people right away thats very thoughfull :) and if you want to, check out my channel, not this one its called instrumentalsonghelp i cant put a ulr :/ but it has some of my songs u might enjoy of jazz with some rock in it. :)

  • @mikeomas I try to reply to everyone because without you guys this account would be nothing, and if I don't it's because I didn't see the comment for some reason. You can learn a lot from youtube. Three youtubers who taught me a lot are Justin Sandercoe and Andrew Wasson for the basics and in depth jazz stuff as well. Geoff Stockton is just a cool guitarist who has some specific videos on some really fun jazz ideas. Youtube can teach if you want to learn, but I'll send u a vid sometime :]

  • @mikeomas Thanks for being so nice.

  • I think this is excellent and unique.. Mixing Jazz soloing with Shred-metal with a jazz backing track. It's certainly something worth looking into :P

  • @mirroredguitarist :] Thank you Mirror. I appreciate the feedback. I love these two genres and have tried making music that I would like to listen to, with qualities that I enjoy. I have an entire jazz metal series in the making. You can see the playlist on my profile for more "Jazz metal" videos. I have 0 - 4 right now, and I am currently working on Jazz metal (5). Thanks again :]

  • I love this video. I hope to play like you some day bro. Freaking awesome!

  • @blackblurable You can man, I'm positive that you can. Thanks for being so nice. I will continue to make jazz metal videos or any other styles that come out of me. All you have to do is just play and do what you think is fun and you'll naturally get better with time. I only have four or five vids in my jazz metal playlist but I am always working on more. Pretty much I make a new one whenever I am inspired or I learn some new theory/musical trick. Thanks again.

  • That was Awesome!! You Rock!!

  • @CHEIFUMS Thank you cheifums, I'm glad you enjoyed. I appreciate your kindness :D

  • @BlikeNave Yeah, I use it for dive bombs and squeals a little, but I mostly use regular old vibrato without the Floyd. It's cool to have just in case you do want to use it though definitely. I'm just tired of having to go through the big process every time I want to change tuning/strings. But anyway, take care.

  • @BlikeNave I made my first video with it too. I tried doing the solo of an Obscura song, but the quality blows haha. And plus, I can't play it right yet. Nice video though, again.

  • @BER2ERKER Thanks for the views and positive feedback. Fixed bridge is sick but floyd has its perks too. Really easy to do vibrato (you can watch my right hand and see how I shake it to create the vibrato) and crazy effects. So easy to get unique sounds. Plus once you tune it (takes forever) then you don't need to tune it much after that. Obscura is cool.

  • @BlikeNave Yeah I have the same guitar, and I instantly thought: "Man, should've got the fixed bridge". Definitely getting a fixed bridge next time, even if it's just for convenience, because the floyd is a pain sometimes and I don't personally use it a lot. Cool sweeping though man.

  • esto no tiene nada, pero NADA de JAZZ!!! PUTO!

  • is that a schecter i have one if it is that looks just like that lol

  • @gutarkingbones Yes good sir, it is indeed a Schecter. It's a C-1 hellraiser with a floyd rose. I went into a guitar store looking for a metal guitar. I had my eye set on Ibanez's because they were thin and fast, with 24 frets and stuff. But then I played this shcect and it was so fluid and great on my hands. Easiest to play and so natural. Had to get it. It's fantastic! Plus it looks pretty and cool. What's yours?

  • @BlikeNave great playing by the way, funny thing i went to the guitar store looking for an ibanez guitar because i mostly play metal in a band etc, and for the same reasons as you, but then i saw the schecter Omen 6 xtreme guitar 24 fets nice tone easy to play so yeah i bought it, only thion git's missing is the floyd ross but oh well

  • @gutarkingbones Hahaha what a coincidence! Ya man I wanted ibanez cuz it was one of the few names I knew. I hadn't even heard of schecter until I went in that day! It was perfect. I started off metal but now I'm more jazz, although I still play metal all day. Floyd has its perks but my next guitar is going to be fixed bridge for sure. Nice and tight, plus a good solid tone.

  • @BlikeNave most deffinately a coindidence i hadn't even known of shecter before i bought the guitar either and ibanez and like dean were the only few metal guitar's i had heard of so i literally went online in the store researched scheter it had a nice tone so i bought it yeah check out my first jazzy style song i hav e on my page tell em what you think man how long you

  • this reminds me of the Zora's Domain music in ocarina of time

  • @mexicohigh That game was great.

  • i suggest you to check cynic really similar sound

  • @SombreSleep Ya I love cynic. Thanks for suggesting though.

  • I got excited when I looked up at my toolbar, because it looks like I have a facebook notification.

  • @ccraven95 Hahaha! Then jazz metal (2) and (3) must be R E A L L Y exciting.

  • *BOOM*

    -My brain

  • @ThatsFunkedUp :D Check the "Jazz metal" Series I've got goin' if you liked this sound. I have two other vids in the series and hundreds more to be made. Thank you for your kindness.

  • THIS FUCKING SUCKS PAUL BLART MALL COP WAS WAY BETTER

  • @slimininin Ololz! You must be one of my friends hahaha.

  • I'd put more metal in it, but very good

  • @MrFnew Jazz metal (4) will probably be more metal ish.

  • Just the first 10 seconds alone blew my freakin mind, nice video man, keep on rockin!!!

  • @mrfatski :D

  • Is it me? Or does he have a Paul Gilbert pinky?

  • @Ulysses447 Thanks Uly, I'm just trying to blend together some of my favorite things in music. I will keep producing and uploading videos probably my whole life, so stay tuned. And I love Paul Gilbert!! The only way for me to get his pinky is to cut it off his hand ahhaha. Thanks for watching and the feedback :]

  • Perfect sweeps man. I never heard of Jazz Metal before. Sounds epic.

  • pretty good sound... do you have a ful album recorded?

  • @EpiclandOfficial Thanks. No this is a crummy recording with a cell phone. I've only recently gotten my hands on some decent equipment so that I can record with quality now. Within a few years though I'd say, I'm still working on my sound/theory and learning the program.

  • This is some pretty good stuff man.It could have used some improvement on some areas but overall I would say solid.

    Keep it up man!

  • @TheCzar93 Thanks. I've had a year to improve since then.

  • do exersises and a horrible meloody is not play jazz, try to learn before play jazz, is obviously so more hard than you think, and your vibrate is so disordered...

  • @MrTEBA9494 Where's your video?

  • @BlikeNave ouh, i missed than a video make me better, and if is so important for you, me and my band will record a CD at Feb, you could give me an email and i will send you the link of the teaser.

  • @MrTEBA9494 Ya send it to me when it's done so I can leave rude comments as well. Asshole.

  • @BlikeNave ok!

  • Haha good video but if you want proper jazz metal listen to Exivous buddy you might like them.

  • @EtherealWaves Just looked those guys up right now and they're sick! I saw somewhere that they have members of cynic? They're crazy too. Hopefully I'll sound like either band a little ways down the road. Thanks for the feedback and band.

  • @BlikeNave No problem mate, you just mentioned my all time favourite band, Cynic. Well worth the time if you give them a chance. All the best in your musical journey. ;-)

  • Love your sweeps :3

  • @kragmor :D

  • is that a schecter hellraiser? Your improv is sweet, too.

  • @huffalmighty Ya it is. Thanks a lot for the nice comment :]

  • i couldn't posibly love this more than i do!!!!!!!!!! amazing music!!!

  • FUCK YEA!! I HEAR SOME ALAN HOLDSWORTH!!!

  • @HYDRODUST67 Awesome man! Glad you liked it.

  • Me Gusta =] favouriting!

  • @blaze225 :] Thank you. There's also jazz metal (2).

  • i find it funny that people are complaining what to call this, when they shoudl be focusing on how well executed this performance was. The backing track is JAZZ, but the way the solo was played with sweeps and everything and distortion is clearly metal. plus that chord at the end seals the deal ;) awesome playing man

  • @SASPython :] ily. check out jazz metal (2) if ya like.

  • The solo is awesome, but in my opinion if you play jazz metal you should get a more metal backing track. This isn't even jazz with metal influences, that's just jazz with a metal solo track. Try adding more distortion, make the drum track dynamic, make it richer. Nothing to say against, the chords, though. For example. why wouldn't instruments like grand piano, acoustic guitar, saxophone, flutes, etc. be included? People love hearing something creative and unique, use your imagination a bit.

  • @satyrludi Thank you for the feedback. I'm currently working on jazz metal (3). The chords are two guitars playing the same thing, but one is a clean track and the other is a crunchy distortion. The drums are also highly syncopated and detailed, instead just a groove track to keep the tempo. The reason I have no other instruments in here is because it will be a bit before I branch out... I only play guitar and bass right now, so that's all I recorded. I may use piano soon but it'd be digital.

  • @satyrludi Be sure to check out Jazz metal (2) and give that any feedback you have as well, every bit helps and I appreciate the thoughtful words. Plus each new installment in the jazz metal series is miles ahead of the last release.

  • Awesome, but this is not metal...

  • @vaxkors95 No... it's JAZZ metal! Jazz people say this isn't jazz. Metal people say it's not metal. I came from metal roots, listening and playing metal with distortion, and now I am learning jazz songs, theory and style. Together, jazz ideas played through a metal voicing with distortion and techniques are what I like to call "Jazz Metal" my friend! What would you call it? Thanks for watching in the first place.

  • @BlikeNave yes, it is inspired in the melody, but metal has powerchords with distortion in the background

  • @vaxkors95 Metal isn't all power chords. Blink 182 has power chords man. Good metal (in my opinion) has more expansive harmonies than the simple two notes that make up a power chord. Jazz fusion, fusing together jazz and metal is what I see it as. If metal needs to have power chords in the background then I'm jumping off this bandwagon. Power chords were literally the first and most basic chords I learned seven years ago. Borrrrring. I learned the chords from jazz guys, the lead from metal guys.

  • @vaxkors95 most of the metal bands I listen to use riffs...not powerchords. Powerchords doesn't define metal.... !?!?

  • @herecomesjossy ok, you are right...

  • I think I would call it jazz fusion

  • Very tasteful playing and nice tone with choice of notes and phrasing bro. How long you been playing? Also what tuning are you in? And how long did it take you to get sweep picking down? Sorry for all the questions and again awesome playing : )

  • @blackblurable Thank you so much, I really appreciate the comment. I've been playing almost ten years. First six were mainly learning metal and tabs/shapes. Then came jazz and the theory/scales, and now I'm focusing on harmony, progressions and substitutions. Sweep picking was something I loved the sound of so I practiced nothing else for about a year. Start with three string sweeps then move up to five and you'll be golden in no time. Check out jazz metal (2) if you liked this one :] Thx again!

  • @BlikeNave I will check it out for sure bro. Time to practice sweeping like a janitor lol

  • @blackblurable Also I'm in D standard tuning (like normal, but tuned down two notes/frets/half steps). To get where I am now with sweep picking took a little over a year I'd say, with a lot of practice.

  • Hey man i like your sound. I heard a young dark haired guy playing a Jazz/ metal song which sounded great (leading me here) I can't seem to source it. Do you of any jazz/ metal sounding tunes of late? The video had a guy skyping with a girl as he played with his band?

  • @joshjbracey Thanks for the comment man! I don't know of that video with the skype guy. And honestly no not really, I don't listen to many jazz metal guys- none at all actually. Lol let me know if you find some!

  • arpeggiated jazz chords mixed in with shredding, feels good man

  • @Zadamanim Hahaha thanks so much zad. I also have a Jazz Metal (2) that's a little more structured than this one, if you'd like to check it.

  • this is beautiful man!! so is jazz metal (2)! would you mind explaining a little to me, because i dont know any theory yet, been playing for about a year, and i'd really like to learn the modes and stuff so i can write like this. i already know the major and minor scale. once again, great job dude! :D

  • @TheColon3Face You're already very well established if you know the notes of the major and minor scales, as those are two of the seven main modes that will get you started (one mode for each note of the major scale). This leaves you five modes left to explore, and they are all very similar to the major and minor, so you won't have to learn much more. I'll send you a personal message soon and we'll chat all about it :] Thanks for the kind words and I'm excited to explain these things to you!

  • @BlikeNave awesome dude :D wait, so the modes are just like, the scale started on a different note? also, how do i go about learning and memorizing them, as well as applying them? thanks for the response :)

  • This is awesome. Is this an original composition of yours?

  • @QtheAllmighty Thanks man! Ya definitely is! I have a new one that is much more composed called Jazz metal (2) if you like this one. Do you play?

  • @BlikeNave No, I unfortunately do not play, but I am an avid fan of both jazz and metal. I would love to learn to play someday but I'm just too darn undisciplined.

  • @BlikeNave This is probably your invention.

  • @BlikeNave I mean I think Jazz Metal is your invention.

  • @1heavymetalboy Heh, I didn't invent it but I am trying to be one of the pioneers of the genre. My three main influences right now are jazz, dubstep and metal.... so we'll so how my music unfolds over time.

  • W O W

  • @Metallaro66 :] hope that's a good 'wow'!

  • @BlikeNave it's an awesome W O W...the recording is not the top but you have a really grat technique

  • @Metallaro66 Thanks man! I've been trying to move away from the noodly-all-sweep style that I am fixed in, to more focused and thoughtful melodies and ideas. Idk if you've seen it yet, but I have a more recent video with a little better quality and cooler ideas. The video is "Jazz metal (2)" and it's probably in the related videos, if you're interested.

  • I have the same guitar! Your playing inspires me to actually develop a working knowledge of theory and modes, rather than just hammering away at the major/minor scales. Great work!

  • @zachsingstheblues It's easy if you try. If you know the major and minor... you're seriously SOO close. You only need to know a few of the modes really. The first one (major) is only one note different than the fourth and fifth modes. The minor scale (sixth) is only one note different than the 2nd and 3rd modes! Then you just have the 7th mode left to learn if you still want, which is the only one that isn't very similar to the major and minor. Msg me and I can giv u some tips. Don't give up!

  • Check out Ved Buens Ende if you want something jazz influenced that doesn't sound like a Pokemon soundtrack or cheesy Holdsworthian jazz fusion (ie Cynic)

  • @mightywarriorx Thanks man I definitely will.

  • @mightywarriorx Thx man, I definitely will.

  • Finally something that really classifies as jazz, really nice.

  • @vFluX @vFluX I really appreciate the positive feedback, thx :] On your channel you recently liked a gypsy jazz progression vid. Do you play too? or are you just a fan of the genre. I try to use jazz theory (progressions, scales/modes, chords and substitutions) but just as a starting point, and creative ideas putting them in unique (conceptual) ways that I have learned or like the sounds of. A lot of experimenting. Here's my newest (unlisted) video. /watch?v=66JYpzRHrGw Thx again man!

  • @BlikeNave I do play gypsy jazz as well and I incorporate the lead arpeggio playing in my progressive/tech metal. I recognized this in your style, it seems to work out.

  • Beautiful work

  • @ArkanePhantasm Thanks for saying so man. If you want, I've made a "Jazz Metal (2)" video. Much more recent ideas and scales. Check it out if you like! I listened to Death by penguins, is this you? Do you play guitar or another instrument.

  • you sir are a boss

  • @donttouchmycar Thanks for saying so man! I appreciate the kind feedback :]

  • @StoopidMonkeySMX :D I will try not to disappoint!

  • Is that a hellraiser?

  • @Jakster840 Ya. Schecter c-1 I believe, with dat floyd.

  • this is beautiful. a combination of my two favourite genres.

  • @Amazongrassmonster Thank you very much! :] And ya dude- I love taking the harmonies/chords/scales from jazz and playing it in my familiar medium (distortion with metalish voicings and what not). If you happen to like dubstep by any chance I'm just starting to make my own songs. Jazz theory voiced through dubstep (really bass heavy). I hope to combine these types of melodies over all the jazz ideas that I've learned and make JazzDub, or Jazzstep haha. Anyways thanks for the comment.

  • You have great sweep ideas. And they're very clean. I'm not good at keeping them as clean. Since I'm mostly never playing with distoriton I'm just more of a jazz guy. But this impressed me alot seeing your sweeps are so clean and you have great ideas of creativity. Though you should get and get a gypsy guitar. That'd be fun to watch u play.

  • @TheBeatlesCom I love jazz. The color of the harmonies are great. I like to play around with musical ideas. This is a John Coltrane progression that I learned from another youtuber. Typically I like to take the standard theory and try to do new things with it. Thank you for the kind words, not everyone is as nice as you haha. I try to incorporate jazz chords and tones in my rhythm, and modal leads in the metal style. I'd love to play on a gypsy guitar but im not sure what chords Id use!

  • @BlikeNave Try A9 Cm6 G/B Bbdim7 Am7 D7 G6

  • @TheBeatlesCom A quick tip, also, for clean sweeping- lightly palm mute! And just be very light with your left hand as well, because as soon as you hit one note on a string and are ready to move to the next, it helps if your fingers can quickly take their pressure off of the string to add to the muting effect. Clean sweeping is all about muting the strings you're not playing, with the left hand and the right. :]
