@mcoltrane5 Unfortunately 11-0 Alabama deserved the 1966 National title. Notre Dame after they tied the game 10-10 were perfectly happy to settle for a tie.

I was 13 when this game was played and remember it well. Dick Kenney, the MSU kicker, kicked barefoot, straight on. Ouch!!

The famous 10-10 tie. I do remember hearing about it,

being 14 years old at the time. MSU went on to play

in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1st and lost to UCLA in a poorly played game 13-10.

No it was the year before MSU played UCLA in the Rose Bowl, 1/1/66. The final score was 14-12 and MSU damn near pulled out a win in the 4th quarter, and still almost tied in late in the quarter.
