One of the best movies ever made! Maybe the best thing about it is the cuteness of Ally Sheedy who played Stephanie. I used to crush on her like nobody's business! She's the ultimate girl next door who you know you could spend your whole life with...plus, she's into robots. This is quite the contrary of a killer robot film, actually: the robot here was meant to be a war machine, but after becoming "alive", he decides it's bad to kill people and pretty much spends the movie trying not to get disassembled...

@CapricornGenesis i was born in the 80 and i saw that movie over 50 times when it came on TV. I had 8-10 years when i watched this for the first time.. Dude, i had to record it in a VHS.. Still today, the movie is so nicely done that its not easy doing so a great movie. And like many say, that theres not much special effects and so on... Who cares, Number 5 makes this one of the best movies ever made. Short Circtuit 3 should be released too but in the future :D did u enjoy the movie?

The only similarity between Short Circuit and Wall-E is the basic design of the robot. That's it. It really doesn't matter that they sort of look like each other. Artists draw inspiration from one another. That's how the creative process works. Wall-E may look like Johnny 5, but Johnny looks like the repair droids from Star Wars. Hell.. Even the Mars rovers use that design too. One might as well accuse Wall-E of ripping off Short Circuit for using robots at all!
