can mgx go for saltwater fishing? any idea what will happen to the reel if i catch 15lbs fish since the max drag is 12lbs? sounds silly but i'll be happy to have some info fm the expertise tq!

@armjamal1 The Revo MGX can be used for saltwater fishing. We use a special 3-step coating process on the magnesium frame to prevent corrosion. As with all reels make sure to rinse lightly with fresh water or a reel cleaner after each use and perform periodic maintenance. The drag setting would work for fish in the 15lb range and that would be a fun fight.

AbuGarciaTV...got it...i own revo prm myself and i would say that the reel performing well even to a novice like me :) planning to grab stx next. by the way, is there any Left handed version for MGX?

@armjamal1 There are in Japan so if you look around on some auction sites you can find them. We are working to bring a left handed model to the US next year.
