thast bullshit, i work for customer support, and i would send it for repair, if the last time you turned it on you had the 3 red flashing lights you can send it for free. if its broken you can always send it, of course that if its out of warranty you will need to pay ;)
Needless to say, I got my Xbox 360 repaired in the end. And they even gave me another one for free, as a gift. Not to mention a game that I got from MS too. So all in all, it all ended up nice and smooth. I just had to take this matter in my own hands totally and take direct lawful action against MS.
Anyway, I still love my 360 and think that it's best console out there. So no hard feelings :).

Well dude i previously work on xbox support to jeremy cards said was true error codes are useless the only thing that matters is the red lights and dude the error codes show up on screen not the red lights on the console flashing sequences 0102 etc... next time you call xbox support again just tell them the basic problems screen freezing or red lights and you will have your xbox repaired...

0102 is an unknown error, but it's most likely GPU related. I just had the same code, and I sent it off to repair with no problems. Call back support, and try again. They have to honor the 3 year 3RLOD warranty. They might have thought you were talking about an error message, as in the E71 screen. Make sure you tell them you have the 3 red lights, and you WILL be able to send it for repair.

on the xbox360 back when it was being developed in 2003 and he said that microsoft has intentionally made the xbox360 faulty to test consumers to see if they will continue to buy new consoles when there old one breaks and to get more profits from repair fees . So see this is just one big experiment.

Same thing happen to me, i ship it to teleplan in ontario on monday got it back friday, a got a new one with new serial number and a new warranty and at this time it work perfectly... for now.

I had the same thing happen to my launch console and sent it back to them for a refurb. Warranty seal was broken and firmware hack installed and they still took it.
Got picked up by UPS Friday and had it back Wednesday!
