If you need a machine to be company for your pet why the fuck do you have a pet in the first place. The whole reason for a pet is a companion for yourself... or do you just enjoy paying for the food for this animal for no good reason (as well as the electric for it's pet petter machine).
It's sad how people can be entrained to mirror the responses of the hosts. This is how we the people are brainwashed. His idea was ok, but dicouraging a budding inventor lessens their likely hood of trying again and improving.
