  • Thank you for your insights :)

  • A rich account of a man that is perhaps more humble then the megalomaniac that is the Christian God

  • You remind me of my student years, although I have forgotten almost everything.

You made a wonderful presentation. Fave'd, subbed... and greetings. :)

  • I had forgotten the lines, "If someone tells you that another is speaking ill of you, do not defend yourself against what has been said but answer, "He did not know my other faults or he would not have mentioned only these."

    Great stuff!

Who knew the Romans had such a good sense of humour?

  • I know! The Stoics are quote mines in the best sense of the word. I felt an urge to copy practically half the Enchiridion down so I would not forget it.

  • Excellent!

    Saved to my favorites...

  • Well done! Investigate Epictetus' ethics more, as it is central to his philosophy.

  • Thanks. You're almost certainly right; I have not read his Discourses yet so the extent of my knowledge of his philosophy comes solely from the 20 page Enchiridion.

  • This is so great. Wonderful. WOW.

  • Thank you so much. I'll try to be Stoical about your comment and not let it go to my head.
