The winch is kinda silly, from a practicality, lunar/space transportation perspective. It would only be "useful" when lifting something while the craft is actually landed, that short distance. Because, to lift an object, it's only necessary to lift the craft. If the craft isn't strong enough to lift the object, the winch won't help but only pull the craft down. There seems little reason to have an object be lifted to the craft mid-flight instead of just carrying it to destination at length.
flyfishing, why would you want cloth seats? If you pissed yourself when the Eagle went wrong during flight how would you wash it out of the foam cushion? Better to choose the wipe-clean leatherette option methinks..
I was about to say "At 7:47 to 8:22 I thought Commander Koenig is gonna fight Tony Verdeschi, not Alan Carter!" but I accidently press enter on the keyboards! I marked the quote as a spam.
Just heard that a new budget spaceline is in the works with a fleet of used Block 76 Eagles. Refurbished interiors equipped with shower facilities, juice tubes, entertainment systems such as the Xbox "pi". Stewardesses in short skirts, not pants are also employed. In the tradition of all Eagles, built-in artificial gravity-inducing systems continue to be used. Only the barf-bags are phased out.
That was some pretty funny stuff. And all the Eagle crash scenes (except for Koenig's drug induced joyride) even featured Alan Carter somehow getting knocked out. I was expecting instruction 6 to say "Do not let Alan Carter fly with you!" :D
I guess you really like the Eagles, huh? But who doesn't?

Do they do factory financing on that? I think I'd opt for cloth seats and maybe a sound system upgrade.

Hey, what's the name of the company and contact details that Koenig used? I want an Eagle too!

What, you can't buy the Hawk Mk VII Sports Coupe? What a rip-off!
Lgilsig 4 years ago
Don't you mean the "Hawk Mk.IX" ?
MoonbaseEagle 4 years ago
the Mk VII was the model without the lazer ring gyro navigation system and CD player.
Lgilsig 4 years ago
I've never seen (nor heard of) the Mk VII; can I find "pics/specs" somewhere?
MoonbaseEagle 4 years ago
Like many things, the specs only exist in my head...

Understood!

Just exceptional...if only the Eagle had airbags.

I get the feeling that Cmdr. Koenig might be feeling some buyer's remorse after all that.
Excellent video! Lots of fun to watch!
