Entertaining, and definitely advant-garde/trendy opera, quite "un-gezai" melodies. Not sure it would go down well with the traditionalist opera lovers.
That is the problem.. some thought it was too musical. The tunes are actually very Xiamen in style, which I believe Taiwanese audience will like because Xiamen and Taiwanese folk music are quite similar
