If you'r looking for the secret characters, you have to beat some of the story missions on very hard, which is easier said then done.

Ok, somebody endulge me. What's the difference between F-Zero GX and F-Zero AX? I've not seen this guy, so I guess he's not in GX. So aside from character casts, what else is different?

@soey98 AX is the arcade version of the game.In Japan, you can only get those characters via arcade stations with magnet cards you can somehow link with your gc later. Since we in Europa and America have not such a big market for Arcades, we can unlock em buy playing extreme in the mission mode and being successful.

The Cosmic Dolphin is a double joke. To get his vehicle you must go through a mission where you and a woman race through a tube. Also the name, Gamecube was gonna be called "Project Dolphin"

But Echo the Dolphin is a SEGA character, and SEGA made F-zero AX(nintendo still owns the series though). SEGA has a knack for making references to their older games in any new games, so long as they have a large amount of rights to the game.
