  • Love the music make me want to do Sha Sha Sha !!

  • LOOKING good...but where is the SALAD?

  • Hi! I'm just curious if this is the same recipe for the pork skin salad? I had the pork skin salad at an Cambodia restaurant and fell in love w/the dish. I would love to know the recipe if you know what I'm talking of.

  • Awesome recipe! I love it.

  • Oyyyy som matess theam mmm srok teuk moat :)

  • @TeukTnotChou You are like me then, I can't get enough of chili.

  • OYYYYYY CHGANG NASSSSS

  • if you want it cooked..try grilling the meat first..fillet it then add in the ingredients..try that...

  • @vsalle25 That is right! When I made it I thought I was able to handle the semi-raw beef but I couldn't so that was why I took that extra steps. However, when I made it again I did use the grill method.

  • supurb!

  • This looks soooo good!! I want to learn to cook it =)

  • it's a different way of making, but i'll say, it doesn't make the house smell as much this way lol

  • @sreyxchan True and also you will get people to try it out and some might not even know that there is Pahok in there.

  • i love pahok :D

  • it looks easy. I will try to make it next week

  • this looks damn good. I have a list of food to make and try out and I'm thinking this one just shot up to the top of my list.

  • Also, boiling it? It's better if you put the meat in the oven first and cook it slightly and then toss it in the marinade. Boiling will kill a lot of the flavor.

  • @StarvingSound That is right! When I made it I thought I was able to handle the semi-raw beef but I couldn't so that was why I took that extra steps. However, when I made it again I did use the grill method.

  • Jalapenos? Not bird eye chilis? Come on, now.

  • @StarvingSound I would had chosen the black furry spicy chili that Laos people use. But I am not just cooking for myself but also have to take into consideration the viewers therefore I try to use something that is widely available. But ofcourse, when making it you can always add or take according to your taste.

  • making me hungry. Am gonna make some today. thanks:)

  • @KhatiyaKorner it was awesome Thankyou =)

  • Thanks we make it and it is very tasty!!!!

  • OMG my favorite dish..Now I can learn how to make it!!

  • @baybeexlinn Yes, there are different options for cooking the meat as well. Take your pick.

  • This looks so delicious, I wish there was a substitute for beef, my spouse prefers not to eat beef, prok or lamb. I thought salmon might work but I find it's hard to get really fresh fish. The only time we ever eat beef is rarely in Khmer recipes like Somlah Kreung sah koh. I just returned from 2 months in Kampuchea and I miss the food sooooooooooo much.

  • @westislandkev Perhaps you can try it with cooked shrimp?

  • Hi bong, i never seen anyone boil the beef, wouldn't that just basically contradict you marinading it? anyhow I want to suggest perhaps stir frying it instead of boiling it so it can retain some of the flavor from the marinade. Great videos by the way! Glad you have been posting more recently!

  • @chunlyda You are correct, like I mentioned in the video you can choose to proceed right after the 1st press which is the authentic way but like me I'm still a bit wary about the beef so I took it a step further. =) It was an optional step. And yes you even grill the meat first before all of this. I hope other viewers will see that there are many ways to approach this. Thanks for viewing.

  • Looks very appetizing!! Thx Khatiya.

  • Thank you for this. A million thanks. I've tried many time, but never come out right. You make it look simple and step by step.... this is cooking for dummy.....again, thank you

  • @chaamcheanich I know what I showed isn't really authentic since I had to cook the meat again (that's just me). =) But at least you get the basic concept which is my purpose with this tutorial. Not to tell you what to do, but rather to show you what the options are so you can create your own.

  • Nice! Bong, do you know how to make beef stick with lemongrass? Thank you!

  • @lzjourney Actually my Mother is making beef sticks right now in preparation for Cambodian New Year that is coming up. I did not see her using lemongrass. I asked why and she said that the lemongrass tends to cook to fast and sometime burn. It is OK to use it if you are making and grilling it like the same day which I have made in the past using Kroeung. I just have to remember to take notes so I can share them with everyone. Stay tuned..I'll add it to my "to do" list. :)
