  • I seem to remember Si Topping went off to New York to learn percussion to get the funk feel right, well cool band. Used to listen to azimuth with him in Hulme, punkfunk

  • Bongos rule

  • I have a 12-inch of this, but it's a completely different version. Where is this from?

  • phat bass

  • Wow i miss those days with A cartain ratio on the scene in copenhagen, I've never mist a geek with them.. Just awesome musicians, and song writers.. Thanks for a very special time to remeber.

  • one of the albums of all time

  • @DaltinWentsworth It seems you've accidentally the adjective.

  • @treveera it seems you've accidentally the verb :)

  • ****simply****

  • i cannot get enough of the 10 minute version which is one of the bonus tracks on i'd like you see you again. simple mind blowing

  • i agree. had the twelve inch in school and i'd kill for it now.

  • i have 7:35 length track from the EARLY cd.. i can send it to you if you need it?

  • I would love that version if you still have it mate!

  • ACR was in the early 80's light years ahead in time. Saw them several times live.

Like Donald Johnson's bass in this song :)

  • great song, always love the b line,

  • Classic!

  • sounds lke martin denny's quiet village on speed 16 with other stuff on top. Interesting.

  • Great music! I'd kike to know this song's lirics!!!

  • Awesome video, better version than the 7 minute one.

  • I prefer the album version (from 'Sextet) personally - but this is also great. Early Ratio summed up Manchester equally as well as those other great Manc bands of the time - JD, The Fall, Durutti Column, The Smiths, New Order....

No city has, in my opinion, ever produced such a slew of great music at the same time as Manchester in the late seventies to late eighties.

  • I agree - Love those bands. Sheffield did alright too though.

  • so amazing

  • I ask for Water Line if possible

  • bring it home dear, it glistens!

  • definitely a different and better version than i've found. truly surreal and funky.
