  • im just starting to get into blues and harmonica and this is beautiful!!!

  • 0:20

  • who ever comes to see this vid..your awesome cuz you like this..

  • I was introduced to sonnys music by a guy I was working with on a building site 30 years ago ...he tried to play harmonica. So I bought one ... and then another in a different key and then another . I jam on my cheap guitar . Love it !!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Bb harp

  • The worst thing about this is that Sonny uses like two holes of his harmonica most of the time, and still manages to make it sound more colorful than stuff played on chromatic harmonicas with 10.000 holes. This is so discouraging for a beginner, haha. Sonny's the best.

  • @Imperath How can there be a worst thing 'bout a good ol' cool blues sonny terry song???????????

  • MY UNCLE LOOKS JUST LIKE SONNY TERRY, WISH THE MOTHERFUCKA COULD PLAY LIKE SONNY

  • whats the key of this harmonica!?!?!?

  • @tersinetersine Recon thats a harp in ' A ' mate.

  • @Honeysucklebommie thanks.

  • Sonny Terry is my idol

  • the blues is all about trying to have a good time on all our troubles......we all have alot more in common than we think so dont hate and just enjoy tese amazing musicians

  • sonny and browny=best blues duo ever. Sonny is still one of the greatest hapr players out there and browny...damn some of that stuff he's doing is very and i mean very difficult but he makes it look easy

  • great clip. but please stop with the lessons.. jerks like this thats killing my playlist :(

  • @nielsbragger YEAH HOW CAN THEY GIVE LESSONS IF THEY CANT PLAY¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

  • wasn't sonny terry blind? does anybody know why he used to wear glasses?

  • @LJ476 He was 90% blind,he saw shadows and very little so the glasses helped all they could.

  • @LJ476 Lots of blind people wear glasses, especially if some accident made them blind. Their eyes may not work, but they are still able to feel pain in bright light. Plus, some people look frightening (scars, burns, that kind of thing), so they wear glasses to help other people feel more comfortable around them.

  • the best blues sounds like it was played on an ol Bayou porch...love it.

  • can someone get rid of this peasant punk talking about blues???

  • @metyuewb what do you even mean? the blues started as peasent music anyway.

  • @AveRajala yea exactly the kind of people strarted playing blues as the one introducing this video. condescending motherfucker who couldn't give a shit

  • @metyuewb

...the grandfathers of modern music were condescending motherfuckers?

im gunna have to ask you to shut the fuck up.

  • @AveRajala you need to read the original comments or i WILL ask you to shut the fuck up.

  • @metyuewb so...after reading your channels comments i realize that your probably the kind of person that has to argue with someone to combat the over bearing self hate that constantly brews within.. so ima go ahead and not waste my time..

  • yes great blues blues blues

    Big will & Bluesmen loves

  • God of harmonica.

  • For some reason I felt the need to look up Sonny Terry and what do you know, the time he mentions in this song is 5 o clock in the morning, I am typing this comment at 5:41 AM. What the heck. Sonny you are the god of blues harp.

  • Brought a smile to my face!

  • One of my favorites by ol' Sonny.

  • What you say Harmonica!?

  • Can you say. MASTERS OF THE BLUES. This is Cool to the Nth power. Thanks for loading.

  • Sonny wasn't blind, but nearly so due to childhood accident. He could see enough to get around without a cane. That's probably a normal wristwatch.

  • thanks siwert for booking these men in GIGANT,apeldoorn, netherlands.

  • uhhhmmm .....anyone interested in the roots of rock and roll, and isnt moved by Sonny's performance here, is as blind as Sonny was supposed to be.....

  • they say sonny was blind as a bat, and that it was ironic he wore the eyeglasses instead of sunglasses like the other blind artists... but did anyone else notice the wrist watch on his arm? lol

  • @faterick84

Braille wristswatches have been around for a long time.

  • Feel sorry for the young 1s there ears are missing out on some wicked sound thumbs up for more

  • his cd with jonny winter is best

  • @memmrl agreed

  • Wow Sonny is my new harmonica hero. hes got the blues "soul"

  • you can tell Sonny has his creative juices flowin thru each sweet beat

  • HAHAHA!

    "What you say harmonica?"

    That's great.

  • I love the beginning of the solo

  • where do you think the rock n roll take his source? si great

  • So good!

  • Tracy Morgan as Sonny Terry in the movie version.

  • word

  • the movie version of what?.. leave this as it is dude.. dont fuck it up and have some actor take credit for something they couldent have drempt themselves.. dont fuckin complain.. a movie would only undermind what this is as is eh..

  • about a 9 on the ol' tension scale there, big baby. I was just making an observation. Chill.

  • What movie is there?

  • This is from MASTERS OF THE BLUES.

  • The sound is so simple and straight forward. Still, as much as people try to copy it, you can't touch the masters.

  • I discovered Sonny & Brownie's music about 10 years ago. They have changed my Taste of Blues music ever since. The Magic they both shared together was like no other duo ever.

I only wish that they were still here today making THIER Blues Music.

  • the song right before this started was great why is it not on anymore

  • My favorite performers. Just wish more kids my age had the appreciation I do.

  • dont worry man Im right there with you these guys rock.

  • God I loved that. Killer.

  • its good to see all u viewers enjoying a bit of sonny an brownie cheers

  • Now I like Radiohead an' all the rest of it but don't it just lift you to see guys enjoying their work like these two are. The music's damn good too !!!

  • That is because they are the REAl 'GENUINE' article.

  • is this a B flat he's playing?anyone know?thanks

  • This song is actually called "Pretty Little Girl."

  • I think the song is what ever sonny calls it, as you see he made it his own.Infact it could be called the 'You don't know didley blues'

  • lol, that song tickled me. :)

  • This is perfect.

  • I had seen Johnny Musslewhite & Taj Mahal back in the late '60s, but I never heard these guys. Thanks to the ever famous Ray Davies for mentioning Sonny within a quote: "Our repertoire consisted of rhythm and blues, sort of country rhythm and blues, Sonny Terry things". I'm loving it!

  • Don't you mean "Charlie" Musselwhite?

  • Sonny will be remember with more than just a quote here and there friend, for damn sure.

  • hooray, hooray!

  • great video

  • Wow, nver heard of these cats, now Im hooked.
