@mcthegreat123 It’s just like walking only faster I start with my left foot I pick up move it approx 2 feet forward and then put it back down I the pick up my right foot move it approx 4 feet forward and repeat till I need to stop
@mp5man Honestly, you sound like a total douche bag of a cop. You sound like an asshole in the video and you sound like an asshole by some of the comments you've made. I bet you're the cop that every body hates at the station and no one wants to be your partner.
@LiuetenantDan93 That’s funny since I’m not a cop and I couldn’t care less what you think of me if that makes me a “douche bag” in your eyes so be it. I hope you have a wonderful day!
@mcthegreat123 well i don’t have an ASP and I do use a LED light I just didn’t have it on when I made the vid and also I’m not as well trained as you because my hands don’t shoot bullets I need my gun for that
old school set up (pr-24, beretta 92 and a 4cell maglite) very cool! now we carry expandable 21inch baton, Glocks and streamligh scorpion/stinger LEDs. times change
@95TriggerHappy i did a little research because i too want to become a police officer ( k9 unit). My local sheriffs office has a police cadet if your interested, go to your local p.d and see if they do to. I am becoming a police cadet this year, hopefully
@Madlegit360 being tazed and maced can be a big thing your right when you get tazed it only last a few seconds but when you get maced you can fell the effects up to a few days or a week.
I'm 15 and considering becoming a cop. I don't see what the big deal is with everyone worrying about being tazed and sprayed at the academy. As far as I know, they do it to you once, and the pain only last a couple of seconds with a tazor, and with the mace you have medical attention near by, or so would I hope. I don't see the problem with it being done to you, if it means becoming a Police officer in the end.
I see so many people who set up their equipment to work against themselves. Why are your least important items taking up prime real estate in the front? Things like your keys, radio, multi tool, cell phone and pocket knife should be around back or in pockets, with important defensive equipment in front where you can reach it with both hands. Read about the hindi duty belt system, ditch the pr24 unless you're soing crowd control, get an expandable baton, and be safe.
@GlassCityAndy that is the truth about placing your items in order of which you need them. buy a radio speaker mic and put your radio farther back, for example.
@GlassCityAndy i agree a lot of those things shouldnt be in the front, but i will say your radio should be close to the front being that is one of the most important tools an officer carries. me personally, if my waist is a clock i have my radio at 10 oclock, with my mag pouches at 11. but ur right... cell phone in front? shouldnt even have a cell phone on a duty belt...in a stressful situation you dont want that to be something you accidentally grab for
I'm 14 and I'm interested in being a cop or something similar. Two questions: Did you have to get maced or tazed in the Academy? And do you get to choose what kind of main gun you carry or do they give you a pistol that you have to carry? And can you carry your own bought gun from home? And if they give you a pistol for service, do you have to leave it at the station?
@95TriggerHappy In most departments you will have to be tased and sprayed. For the DOC I had to get sprayed and hit with the EID (electronic immobilization device) as for side arms you will be issued a pistol but in most departments you may carry a personal sidearm as long as it is approved. I hope this helps and I would also suggest going on a ride along with your local PD also Your sidearm is issued to you so keep it with you all the time
@95TriggerHappy , you're 14,,,if you want to be a cop...get into an explorer's program.....STAY IN SCHOOL, and participate in as many sports as possible...be a positive influence on other's, by being a positive person yourself......and stop watching equipment nerds on YouTube.....enjoy being 14.....Oh, and change your name from "TriggerHappy" so something else...
where do u get all ur gear at and u should get a tazer and a silent key holder.......................but i like ur belt setup...........i would get an asp instead of a baton too.......
are hinged or chained handcuffs better and is nickel or black better.....................sweet belt and where did u buy all ur stuff at........why dont u have a tazer
@mp5man I am a Police Officer here in NC and we are issued a taser, instead of that kind of baton we have the expandable baton, actually that baton you have is not allowed to be used here anymore.
@crossfire0299 chained are the choice for me...gives me much more flexibility when i am struggling to retain someone. with the hinged ones u have to bring both hands parallel to apply, which not always possible in an emergency against a big guy for example
on the other hand, hinged are my choice for transfering someone who is already arrested, since they really reduce the movement capabilities
um dude, try buying some real duty equipment. That duty holster could so easily be ripped off your belt. replace a pr-24 with an asp, are you crazy other than not having it swinging while you walk the pr-24 is so much better. Back up gun!!??!! dude with your cheap ass equipment your better off carrying nothing but a flashlight and a cell phone, maybe pepper spray. You don't belong armed sorry
@GlaBurnzUrHouseAK47 For most people its faster no crossing over plus in most cases it is safer no sweeping people on the side of you and your weapon isnt ready for perp to gab.
@colorblindvids join LAPD after MP like i did, $45,000 a year starting and much more if you are fluent in another language, military service, better education, and expert marksmanship... with all that, starting pay is almost $65,000 after NET
@colorblindvids AHH! ive been wondering the same thing when I get done with my time as an MP! However, Fire fighting has been calling my name as well... nothing beats a lazy boy recliner and a big screen tv when your not on call! haha
Just got a quick question, is that a loop sew to the edge of the key holder(where you put you cuff key)? It looks kinda slick to me, where would I get one?
you should carry hinged handcuffs, I carry 2 on my belt and one pair of chain-linked cuffs in my car for someone with small wrists. But other than that you got a pretty good setup
lol, good vid but gee ur fat and u carry a baton thats shit, get an extended one, and a better back up gun, i sugest a glock or a 45 caliber but up to u, because when im on duty i carry a 45 caliber. But some people say it looks to big but defence comes first when ur life is on the line.
Maybe you should do some research before you call someone out. Some departments and agencies do allow .45 or for the officer to choose. Do you honestly think Police departments worry about less lethal when it comes to the firearm. There are levels of force and guess what, the firearm is the last level which is the lethal force level. Non lethal weapons are verbal, pepper spray, baton etc.... If you pull your gun you have escalated to the lethal force possibility.
If your in law enforcement then you would know that there are many agencies in the U.S that allow officers to carry .45. I never said issued I said carry. And then to claim a .40 is less lethal indicates to me you have no clue about firearms. I can put a .40 in your chest and you will be just as dead as if I used a .45. I never said shoot to kill either but your claim of it being less lethal is ridiculous.
I just read this whole thing... 1. Yes there are police agencies that ISSUE .45's 2. You're issued a .40 that also shoots .45's? wow ur dumb. 3. Yes you shoot to stop a threat not necessarily to kill, but thats just report talk. If you're shooting someone you aren't doing it making sure they live... If they live it just means they're lucky. Stop pretending to be a cop on the internet it just makes you look stupid.
There is no .45 caliber gun in the entire world that u can just stick .40 caliber rounds and fire. I know plenty of Police departments that carry .45 caliber. I shot next to them in the POLICE ACADEMY in New Jersey. Yes you shoot in self defense but you dont purposely do anything to NOT kill. you do what you have to do. u would know that if you were a real cop. There is NOTHING that tells any department what they are SUPPOSED to carry. Shut up. Every time u type something u look more stupid.
@OBrien662 You shoot to kill. That is why you do it when you have justified deadly force. If you go around saying that you don't shoot to kill, some defense attorney is going to ask you why did you shoot if you didn't need to kill my client? A good analogy: How hard do you hit an old lady who is attacking you? As hard as you physically can because if you didn't need to hit someone as hard as you can, you probably weren't justified to hit them at all.
@GlassCityAndy My state just has a differnt way of wording things that's all. In New Jersey you shoot to stop a threat. Dead people are no longer a threat.. so yes YOU did your job. Shooting to "kill" though would mean that if you shoot someone, they are downed and they drop their gun to surrender, you're going up to them and putting another one in their head. Not the case. Once the threat is stopped, I as a cop have a legal obligation to save their life.
@GlassCityAndy Sorry about all the responses but i also want to add that Deadly Force is defined to us as "...force which a law enforcement officer uses with the purpose of causing, or which the officer knows to create a substantial risk of causing, death or serious bodily harm" So deadly force doesn't mean you have to kill the person or its not deadly force... just to clarify
a lot of departments are being issued glock 21 which is chamered in 45 acp and no .40 s&w and .45acp will not cross chamber. and if you try it make sure you post it on youtube because the internet can always use another moron with a camera
Not only is this information not accurate, it is downright unsafe... to anyone reading this who DOES NOT know about firearms and ammo, they are NOT interchangeable. Trying to fire a .45 from a .40 will cause a catastrophic failure that would seriously hurt or kill you. Do not listen to this person, he has NO idea what he is talking about when it comes to firearms, or in my opinion law enforcement.
@saidero My dad carried a 1911 back when he was a detective. However my city has a huge crime rate and Maine probably doesn't so you wouldn't need it anyway.
even just for makin a video its safer to use a substitute firearm than a real firearm. now if he was to do aa technical video on a firearm, hed use the real thing. its basically a safe placeholder.
What department do you work for?

However my city has a huge crime rate and Maine probably doesn't so you wouldn't need it anyway.

extra padding, hahaha. i think having a big stomach helps a little by keeping your belt in place and not dragging up when you pull things out.
blackhawk777 2 years ago
I know for a fact you don't carry 1/2 of that on the line.

even just for makin a video its safer to use a substitute firearm than a real firearm. now if he was to do aa technical video on a firearm, hed use the real thing. its basically a safe placeholder.
