Using Scripture to debate a Fictional Story only makes Matt look silly. Critisizing Wm Young for using an African American Women to represent God also tells me he probably didn't read the book since later an Old White Man was used . Either way , for Matt to quote Scripture to say God can't be seen, what about the story in Gen 32 when Jacob wrestled with God ? In Gen 32:31 it says,"So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel---"For I have seen the Divine face to face, yet my life was spared.

Kenny, Jacob saw the pre-incarnate Christ, not the Father or Jesus' divine nature. But anyways, the point is, why do you accuse Matt of being judgmental when he is simply standing for what Scripture teaches? Is there something wrong with that?

Matt slick is having difficulty with the "frame within a frame device" that author's use. The epilogue and the prologue can all be a part of this frame.

He is also not familiar with the creation of a persona. Many created personalities do maintain that the events actually happened, for example Robinson Crusoe but in no way is it ever understood that Robinson Crusoe actually lived. Matt could stand to take a good literature course. I do not speak here of theology which may be questioned.

The problem of men is that they HATE the HOLY and JUST part of God, and just want the santa claus part og HIM.

I thank God He is Holy and Just, so that I can understand THE PRICE OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS saving me from eternal hell.

Anyway, why do you say that God is an "imaginary friend"? Are you aware of the fact that you are no longer in the realm of "agnostic-atheist" who "lacks a belief in God"? You are making a knowledge claim, and therefore it is up to you to demonstrate the truth of your assertion.

It is no more of a knowledge claim than saying "Bigfoot doesn't exist".  Sure, I can't pull out a piece of paper and draw you a chart showing that god 100% does not exist. What I can do, though, is weigh the claims people make to me about such a being existing. If I find them lacking, then I can safely say that said god "doesn't exist". I'm sure you'd be perfectly willing to tell a Muslim that Mohammed wasn't really a prophet of god, but are you really claiming to have "proof"?

As to why I watched your video, I watched it because I listened to an atheist TV show in which Matt Slick tried to call in and "debate" the hosts. I was interested to find more of what he has to say, just out of curiosity. I admit my original comment was maybe unneccesary or hostile, I must have been in a bad mood or something. I apologize if it irked you at all.

Regarding, Muhammad, do I do not have proof, but I DO have evidence against him being a true prophet of God, which, unless you decide to provide an argument AGAINST God, is far different from your disbelief in God's existence, since the only thing you say supports your position seems to be, as most atheists say "the lack of evidence for God's existence."

Matt does a great job with debates. This proves what others have been saying about The Shack: It promotes a universalist god; one who can and will be anything to anybody, as long as it's what they want him to be.

U need to read the Bible in context. Yes Jesus died 4 our sins but we must confess our sins and accept Him (JESUS)into our lives for ALL our sins to be forgiven. All the world has not done that so All the WORLD IS NOT SAVED & FORGIVEN.

theres afew things you havnt taken into account, the context of our, and in that context it was believing jews since John was an apostle to Jews and was writing to a jewish church. Jews in that time had a hard time accepting that Jesus had dies not just for Jews and the Jewish nation, but for gentiles as well. Prooftext without context is pretext
