  • Doylle dresses like a gay bull fighter.

  • Full version in better quality

    /watch?v=PbcErksRVgo

    :) Hope you like it

  • Doyle Bramhall is probably the coolest human being that ever graced this planet. Only Joe Satriani comes close, in my opinion.

  • Outstanding DVD, nice choice of music too.

  • la cancion con unos de los solos con mas feeling que e escuchado

  • cool version, the backup singers acting and random singing made me laugh though haha

  • Not Gilmour, but still pretty fuckin' good!

  • I knew that Waters and Gilmour were bound to make amends sooner or later after I bought this DVD for the one simple reason......Jon Carin. At the time, I can remember thinking why in the hell would Roger Waters would hire the Floyds second keyboarist for his gig.

  • Greatest concert ever

  • Jon Carin excellent! Doyle looks like such a fag with the swagger, clothes and the chewing gum. And the drummer sounds like a fucking metronome throughout this entire show. Sound good though (other than the constant ride cymbal or hi-hat.)

  • @holywoodj fuck off Doyle looks awesome as always

  • I totally agree with you, he's his own man and I for one would not like him being anything other than Doyle

  • @oasisluva on the record version its gilmour and waters that sing on this song.gilmour does the first part

  • Oh gosh,Doyle's tone is amazingly good.

  • this is such a great song.

good version, but no one can top gilmour.

  • HUGE interpretetation by Doyle Bramhall III.

  • @MadGriffith lmao he's Doyle Bramhall II. not III xD

  • @ztcatchy well (I forgot to say that), I come from the future...

  • This guys sings this amazingly well and the guitarist copes Gilmour's tone really well. The upside down stringing does my head in to watch though!!!

  • Hey!!! I was in Oregon in that concert. It was amazing.

  • I used to like snowy white, so much so thatr i contacted his fan club for a signed photo of him with this guitar, and unbeleivably the answer came back "oh i dont have any". even cameras take pics and hasnt he heard of email. i feel very disapointed that i supported HIM and he cant even oblige me with a pic. i still admire his playing but i have lost alot of respect for him. i was a loyal fan

  • @labyonnette Snowy tight fisted, miserable sod but good guitarist

  • this sounds almost exactly like the album, WOW!

  • David Gilmore, amazing guitarist that he is, contributed little to Floyds songwriting (not that he didnt write some great music), Roger was the complete majority force in Floyd. No more evident than when Roger left the recond company wouldnt release Gilmore's offerings (as Pink Floyd) untill he got a team of songwriters to help & even then they don't come close to Rogers. Not taking anything away from Daves playing, he is amazing but it's Rogers vision that made those classic albums/songs IMHO

  • Gilmour is crap compared to this guy. David Gilmour was only any good because of Roger Waters.

  • @jaketodate ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!? you have absolutely no idea about guitars if u actually believe this! waters is amazing ill admit it. but his bass riffs are simplistic as hell, and david gilmour pretty much made this song and the majority of floyds songs. know your facts before you say stupid shit

  • @MajorT127

Ive managed to evolve beyond comparing artistes. Each has a style of his or her own. Additionally its not necessary to have complicated or simplistic riffs in order to be "GOOD", its about emotion and feelings and being part of the music you are playing and in what role. AND please dont swear it belittles you, shows a low IQ and poor education

  • Amazing video. Great voice and everything!!!!

  • Amazing video

  • 3:30 is iconic....Doyle Bramhall II is amazing along with Snowy white...

  • Is that Doyle Bramhall chewing gum? Awesome!

  • geofront88 r u out there?

  • As I said, if you heard this version on CD or radio, you'd never know that Doyle looks so awkward playing that guitar. Also my second point is the dual guitars from 3:28 onwards - on the original album version Gilmour double tracked his solo i.e. he recorded it and then rerecorded it and put both guitar tracks into the final mix. That's why there are two guitars from 3:28 playing that solo.

  • My opinions on this version and to clear up a couple of points:

I think this is a good live version of the original. Doyle Bramhall IMO is a good singer, though obviously he sounds different to Gilmour, and IMO definitely sounds American when singing. That's not a criticism, just an observation.

Musically he is definitely up to playing guitar on this song in the spirit of the original, although his actual playing technique looks rather awkward, and not smooth. - continued -

  • It`s so amazing!!!

  • Fucking amazing awesome rocking great unbelieavable.

Sorry it's the only words that came out from my mind...

  • it takes 3 dudes to do what gilmore does on his whole, by himself.

  • Jon kicks ass!!! love his performance with Floyd!

Him and Snowy are part of band let's say :)

  • the cancer line seems so out of place in this song

  • this guy sucks and ruined my favorite pink floyd song

  • Legalize Weed, Checkout my video...

  • te falta una aprte weta culiao ¬¬

  • great vocals really

  • No point in comparing dicks its about the music!

  • I like the musicians on the stage....quite good choice

  • i like how doyle doesn't try to be gilmour, he has the pitch fuctuations and tones right, but he is still doing his own thing

  • best version of dogs ever....doyle does the gilmour role justice!!

  • the lead guitarist plays the guitar like dick dale, with the strings reversed. pretty cool.

  • I like Gilmour AND Bramhall. I think that Bramhall does Gilmour's guitar parts justice.

  • Don't people ever get sick of comparing guitarists in youtube?

    I'll be damned.

Gilmour is great, Roger teamed up a great band for that tour and that's that.

This whole comparison shit seems like a "whose dick is bigger" game, for fuck's sake.

    Great version!

  • @ucatani

Thats what I wanted to say!

  • I love Jon Carin, he is absolutely amazing!

  • @larrylangdon14 yes that keyboard solo leaves me freezed and let you understand who daniel fisher can program a synth O_o

  • Six lysergfic seconds is actually, by my calculation (I've never used hallucinogens so I am guessing) six 24-hour periods, or 6 days. In lysergy, time is altered, sometimes contracted, sometimes dilated. A second is as a Day in the lysergical ritual. (Pot is enough for me!)

  • Put all the drugs in that corner and put PinkFloyd in this corner. See the parallels implicit (actually explicit) in being dragged down by the stone. Rogers did not want to kill the children anymore (FinalCut's knife and this "knife in"). Millstone around the neck's a better fate. THC an answer in six lysergic seconds.

  • I saw this concert live while triping on mushrooms and high on weed. 'nuff said.

  • it is always a bands heart what the sound made every man take some behind

sorry i not so good in english

i hope you understand that love the floyd musik toni

  • That song made Gilmour from "U gotta be crazy" until keyboard solo... Following lyrics were written by Waters.

  • the guitar part in this song is the best. i love that battle thing

  • Absolutely brilliant! Roger is an amazing song writer and bass player, this clip easily shows him at his best .(again) what a show, I love Gilmour's live stuff too, but none of us should forget that its ROGER we have to thank for 80% of those classic floyd songs.

  • @luv80zmetal i don't know about 80% echoes, one of these days, shine on you crazy diamond I and II, time, comfortably numb, dogs, wish you were here, run like hell, us and them, great gig in the sky, breathe, wot's the deal are all classics that the other band members cowrote. Not to mention post Roger Floyd songs like learning to fly, sorrow, on the turning away, high hopes, coming back to life.

  • I was lucky enough to see this concert in 2000 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The sound was absolutely amazing. Better than the concerts a few years later.

  • imperial and dmdt, its not a custom headstock, bramhall play left handed upside down. and i agree 100% with jarethfranz and dmdt about bramhall being better than gilmour

  • bramhall better than gilmour?!that is pecant. He can only dream of being better.

  • you idi(((

t gilmoores is the best pink floyd guitarisst ever

  • @greekgator01ss maybe bramhall isn´t better than gilmour but his a verygood pupil with his own style .... I like doyle´s guitar too much !!! Good for him

  • have you noticed that bramhall has the strings put on backwards on is guitar?

high e on top, and low E on the bottom.

  • @ghosterdude Hi...! Are you a pupil too ?

  • @anamgify pupil of gilmour? dunno, but i deffinitely rank him in my top 10. i always thought he's fast enough to be able to express his ideas. great composer.

  • great job on guitars!! but never ever as good as David Gilmoure, no fucking way, just listen to the album. Love Roger Waters. Pink Floyd 4ever!!!!

  • OMG, this sounds exactly like Pink Floyd!

  • Jon Carin played with David Gilmour too (e.g. Pulse 1994)

  • When the beginning is starting, whos the person on the guitar? =[

  • This is Jon Carin, who toured with Pink Floyd after Roger left. Usually a keyboard player, he has skills on guitar and pedal steel.

  • gilmour is the one, but this song is of ones goodest, of "everybody" and very good job 4 jon carin

  • i think doyle kicked davids ass in this one

  • As much as I hate to say it: I totally agree w/ you on this one!

This version seems to have more life/feel than the album one does... IMO.

Doyle Bramhall's solos on this song are so smooth, and have such a great flow to them! Plus the harmony solos between Doyle and Snowy are fucking beautiful!!!

It doesn't hurt that Jon Carin sounds great on this as well!

Over all they did a wonderful job! 5 stars all the way man!

  • So fucking powerful

  • Doyle Brahmall and Snowy White. Great. Still love Gilmour but Waters did pick great band members for this one

  • My all time favorite Floyd tune. Two leads almost matched Gilmour's playing.

  • Homeboy with the red strat has his strings on upside down, thats different. David Gilmour IS pink floyd, this was a nice try though

  • Do you mean he just flipped his guitar over and played it lefty, or did he flip it over and also reversed the strings? I believe Hendrix simply flipped his guitar over too and left the strings the same. Heck I am a lefty and if I ever learned guitar, why not learn it like righties string them, although upside down? Seems to make sense to meinstead of restringing every guitar I want to try out.

  • I know its sort of confusing. Essentially what he did is he went out and got a right handed guitar, and just flipped it over. He didn't change the strings around so the low E is on top and high E is on the bottom (Hendrix DID change his strings). And while its a testament to his skill to play like that its dumb and he probably had to relearn guitar in order to play like that

  • I'm afraid you are wrong mate.

He is playing a lefty but has the strings changed to be in reverse of what they should be. If the guitar is righthanded then the knobs would be at the top of the guitar, as would the cut-away.

He probably learned as I did, by playing a righty upside down then, realising that he kept hitting the knobs, just re-strung a lefty!

  • You sir are correct! haha He just has an invented head stock on that guitar. Or a neck from a right handed guitar? Either way, Doyle smokes on this version!

  • Yes you're right.

He seems to have a right handed neck on a left handed guitar. I didn't spot that part. Cheers dude!

  • Awsome!!!

  • Hey who is on Vocals for this song?? Is it Gilmour, or Waters??

  • Jon Carin. He plays keyboards and acoustic guitar on this show.

  • when it was done by Pink Floyd it was Gilmour, but as you all know the other three weren't too thrilled about doing the Animals album. They were also very reluntacnt to do the Wall as well.

  • the other three weren't too thrilled? as we all know? first of all, it was GILMOUR who first started getting sick of waters. And, as everyone should know, the general disgust for waters and the whole turning point started AFTER the Animals album was recorded, while they were on tour, and waters spit in the face of a fan.

  • It was during and after the final cut album not animals

  • actually, roadrashrobby is right, the start of the group breaking up was during the tour when Waters spit in the face of a fan and realized how disconnected he was from his true self which inspired the writing of The Wall, along with the story of Syd Barrett

  • GIlmour does the vocals on the original song.

  • The first verses are sung by Jon Carin. The last two are sung by Roger Waters. On the original version (Animals LP, 1977) David Gilmour sung the first parts.

  • @oasisluva It was Gilmore in the original version.

  • @oasisluva Gilmour in the first part and waters in the second

  • @oasisluva

    parece...lolll

  • Dragged down by the stone....... (Die greedy fat old businessmen)

  • holy shit man...this is awesome!!!

  • Hey where did the part2 disappear?

  • I cut part 2 for youtube. Size don´t support.

  • amazing song it takes you to another world.

  • Bollocks! But it is very good

  • Nope. 'fraid not. RW may have written it but they've got two guys in to do Dave Gilmour's job, ok on rythym and singing but dodgy on lead. Studio wise it was DG that defined bass and lead although RW was the masterful composer. Shame they couldn't work out the power struggle, aka RW ego. DG still owns this.

  • Im sorry, this is great and all, I love this song, but this guy is not David Gilmour, im just glad gilmour made snow white tour with Waters so this other twit doesnt bullox his solos up as bad. none the less, the rest of the band does a nice job. Including Waters, i just wish they would have gotten someone else to play Gilmours parts..

  • waters is floyd get real great dvd

  • Gilmour is my favourite guitarist but I reckon Doyle does a great job of this solo.

  • All the way, my friend. Waters is the real Pink.

  • That is Bollocks also Floyd would never have made the big time without Gilmour. That unique haunting tone familiar in most Great Floyd songs. Is the sound of Gilmours Strat.

  • God, I love Doyle Bramhall II.

  • Hes the best!!

  • not to sure about the dude hu think hes hendrix. guitar upide down.and hes kept the strings as is.strange choice

  • Great interpretation, great musicians! I've seen Roger in concert in Paris in 2002, "Dogs" was , I think, the most impressive moment of the set...

  • Essa música eh simplesmente indescritivel, uma das melhores, se não for a melhor do pink floyd.

  • great song from the lord of rock himself RW.

  • the band and especially the red strat guitarist kicks ass!!!

  • Great song,Animals is Floyd's best work Although Pink Floyd to me is Roger waters seeing as though he wrote everything from Dark side of the moon on.

  • yeah you see but it's not like that.

people keep forgetting that its the collaboration between them that got them to make all those everlasting master pieces.

I mean ok so the credit for lyrics and production (not sure about that one though) goes to Waters but do you honestly think it would sound the same without Gilmour?

He's one of the most moving guitar players ever existed and without his touch..

anyway I hope you got my point.

  • def dude

  • well the credits of dogs goes to both waters and gilmour . even though i personally like waters better but the solo here beats every solos ever created . so its greatness goes to both of them. but lyrically its always roger the genius

  • hmm strange comment. of course roger is the lyrical genius he was the only one post syd that could really write lyrics.but to say this guy is better than gilmour is slightly naive.the original dogs solos fit perfectally both musically and frankly sound great.soz if i misunderstood u ur comment was a little confusing

  • i mean to say ; the solos of dogs beats every solos tat has been ever created (my personal thought). m not comparing anyone wit anyone.
