  • Man I can't believe I liked this -_- even if it was just for like a month, this is such a train wreck of a song, so embarrassing. A real groaner.

  • @DanCiTi Thanks!!! I came here because I enjoy this music but I know better now that I have read your personal feedback!!!!!!! :D

  • @DanCiTi Train wreck? It's extremely structured. It isn't chaotic at all.

  • @DanCiTi

Try learning this song on guitar. Good luck bro.

  • @ReverseRevenge It's really not that tough... But... That doesn't make his comment any less dumb or (for being such a dumb comment) any less irrelevant. Stupid hipsters.

  • This band was one of my ALL-TIME-FAVORITES. Schuylar Croom is one of the BEST all around vocalists around, HANDS DOWN!

  • very glad to be seeing plays on this in 2011.

  • DAD IM NOT COMEING HOME

  • it this isnt heathers handwriting

  • @mtblay thats right i said it

  • 1:49 oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • this song and "the seduction" were on their E-card for this album and they were both really fucking good, but then I bought the album and literally every song on the album is boring as hell compared to those 2. I was bamboozled!

  • @californiagracefully but the whole cd tells a bigger story and even in the later albums they continue the story of certain songs, ie: China white (I Am Hollywood), China White II (Mushroom River), China White III (It Hates You)

And then their is The Seduction (I Am Hollywood), Dixie Wolf (Mushroom River)

  • @theolderponder you mean suck out the poison

  • Finally a song with my name in it! /Heather/

  • @MissDDHeather WHY THE HELL WAS IT IN YOUR HANDWRITING?!

  • 6 dislikes, seriously? obviously those people burrrrrrned on that notorious "red carpet".

  • @missingbilly

No one gives a shit how many dislikes there are, go drink antifreeze.

  • @azurescens420 was meaning how could you dislike this songg.

  • weon me encanta, chupenlo gringos que no entienden ni una wea :D

  • I am sorry I do not say comments about the people who dislike things but seriously those 5 people have no taste in music.

  • @thousandfootkrutchro I don't usually comment about people who say other people have no taste in music because 'disliked it'.....No they have a different taste in Music.. make that 6 dislikes...

  • What happened to rating videos? Cause this deserves 5 stars, not just a thumbs up!

  • @Aeagle19 Get over the fact that people like it, and you don't, I for one wish more bands were like this. Perhaps people would be able to express themselves more easily. Gtfo.

  • "You can't separate who you are from the things you do." Blowing my mind, man. But either way, wrong idealism.

  • ...But they don't correlate by default. My point is, if you believe in something yet you don't promote that certain something through the use of your band's music, your band is not related to that certain something. You are. For example, all of my band members are democrats, yet we're not a political band because we don't really sing about politics.

  • @JadenPrinceton12 I hear what you're saying...I just disagree. You can't separate who you are from the things you do. That's my point.

  • @micahbrill Okay, that's your point. Personally, I think you're wrong and the fact that you've ignored my many examples is a tad ignorant to say the least (no offense), but you've kept your calm demeanor over the course of this argument and I respect that, so we can just agree to disagree.

  • I am HOLLYWOOD!

  • Fashioncore faggotry.

Metalcore is for noobs and chicks.

  • @waxton48 uhh, no.

  • Fashioncore faggotry.

The fact that people consider this glam rock CRAP metal disturbs me.

  • i.. aam. ROOORR REEEE RAWWRR! <3

  • Yea...they were at one point a christian band or pretended to be but they got signed to Solid State and thats a christian label who only signs christian bands so idk the whole deal with all that but its whatever they are still epic win even though they broke up...sad face

  • They used to be a christian band but not anymore.

  • amaazingggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • Awsome christian metal band

  • @juansosa555 He is Legend ain't a Christian band by any stretch of the imagination, mate.

  • @JadenPrinceton12 Yes they are

  • @amazingman40 No they're not. They're Christians but they're not a Christian band, they even stated that in an interview.

  • @JadenPrinceton12 How do you define a Christian band?

  • @micahbrill A band who makes music to promote their Christian beliefs. He Is Legend clearly stated that this is not what they're out to do. It's like, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters is a Christian (I'm not really sure of this, but he wore a cross around his neck throughout their gig at Hyde Park), but the Foos aren't a Christian band by any means. Slash of Guns N' Roses is a jew, but are GNR a jew band? No.

  • @micahbrill Oh, and I'm in a band (I play bass guitar and sing occasional lead vocals), and with the exception of myself (I'm an atheist), all my band members are Muslim. Does that necessarily make us an Islamic band? Hell no.

  • @JadenPrinceton12 I hear your point dude...but I've gotta disagree. Something like choosing to be a Christian isn't like choosing between a turkey or a ham sandwich. It's not a small one time decision. You know? It's an all encompassing lifestyle. I'm not saying there aren't lukewarm Christians all over the world, because there are. There's tons of them that say they are and then go and live a totally different lifestyle. But what I'm saying is how could they be anything other than...

  • @JadenPrinceton12 ...a Christian band. If there's a band full of straight edge dudes, yet not once dot hey ever talk about being straight edge, wouldn't they still be a straight edge band? Our live's are the witnesses of truth against us. If I am something, I am something. If a group of people are something, then they are something. If a band is comprised of all Christians, then they're a Christian band. Whether or not they choose to blatantly "promote" Christianity doesn't change that.

  • @micahbrill You're missing my point. A Christian band is only a Christian band if it's music encompasses Christian themes. If there were to be a band composed entirely of Christian dudes yet they sing about, say, vegetables, does that make them a Christian band? No. That makes them a band with members who just happen to be Christian. Music and faith are two separate things, what you are in terms of faith doesn't necessarily have to correlate with what you are in terms of music. (continued)

  • @micahbrill You're missing my point. A Christian band is only a Christian band if their music were to encompass Christian beliefs. If there were to be a rock band composed entirely of Christians yet they sing about vegetables, are they a Christian band? No. They're a rock band with members who just happen to be Christians. Music and faith are two seperate things. What you are in terms of music doesn't necesseraly correlate with what you are in terms of music. They CAN correlate...

  • 1:48

  • bands aren't like this anymore -__-

  • @HelixMusicc my band is :D

  • @HelixMusicc Thank goodness.

  • so this breakdown is fuckin sick...ive always fuckin loved it

  • Is it me or do they sound like EveryTime I Die?......hard to be ETID Keith Buckley, hes a hardass with a bad ass voice

  • @MarineRecon28 I like Keith Buckley's voice a lot but I like this guys style he just all over the place. Keith is for sure one great vocalist.

  • Christian Metal Rocks !

  • @danhilz Sorry to burst your bubble, but I pretty much know for a fact that theses guys aren't Christian.

  • @devistation843 actually they are, they've been on several "various christian metal artists" albums. Just because they are a christian band doesn't mean they have to just write about christian subject matter (which in my opinion gets old really fast).

  • @muffinmaster5000 The Christian subject honestly does not get old unless it is the same subject like most worship bands. Bands like these you have to look for the meaning in some of their songs. I have not figured out the meaning in this song but I feel there is one. Bands like August Burns Red, Underoath, Becoming The Archetype, and Haste the Day have Christian meanings in almost all of their songs just some of them do not show it you have to find it out for yourself.

  • I, aaaaaam, HOLLLYYYWWOOODD!!!

  • thats right i said it.

    I SAID IT!

omfg sick breakdown makes me come.

  • i. am. HOLLYWOOD

  • hahaha demi lovato likes this

  • bAnd is christian right ?

  • @hybridz3 No. They're signed onto a predominantly Christian band label and some of the members are Christian, but they do claim to be a Christian band at all.

  • @hybridz3 yes indeed

  • @hybridz3 yea hard 2 believe but they are

  • just executed some massive foot stomps here alone in my room........ lol that says something.

  • sick.

  • Lol, sick.

  • i wonder why there not that famous? this song is good!

  • who cares what the song is about, just let it kick you in the nuts and be happy.

  • this song is about a movie

  • @siblings08 no. no it isnt. not at all. no.

  • @blueshreve its based off of a really old movie

  • This song is one of those pretty obvious ones for meaning. Personification is used to make Hollywood seem like a person. @MisterAsterisk - So, you were actually getting what they wanted you to from the song.

The whole song is talking about how Hollywood reels people in and changes them... Fame and money gets to people.

    *Red carpet burns

    *It's the glamour that kills

    "Dad, I'm not coming home"

  • @RachnChelbs94 You really this band was doing anything other than trying to get some pussy?

    I pity you.

  • I understand that part. But I like to listen to music and watch movies with a little twist in mind. Like if you watched Ferris Bueller with the idea that it's all in Cameron's head. I was just thinking Hollywood is the killer's name. I didn't say the lyrics said that directly, but the way lyrics are delivered are just as important as he words themselves. Thats what I got from the song. That's what art does. Poses and quesiton, and has the observor/listener come to their own answers.

  • Does this song come off to anyone else as if it is about a serial killer?

  • @MisterAsterisk eh... m/b.. but the one that really sounds like that is "China White II" off their 'Suck out the Poison' Album ahahahahaha creepy lol

  • I... am... HOLLLLYYYWOOOOD

  • Dad im not comming home : )
