@blindguardian187 I'm here in California and having a really hard time feeling that we have a whole lot of great Black Metal here. I keep trying to give it a chance, but nothing I have heard so far from my own land touches on any level that I would feel listening to, especially, the older Norwegian bands. My favorite USBM song is Cold Black Heart from Crebain, and, even that song has so much Death Metal busting through it. Can't find band, yet, for me to sing, either..aaaarrrggghhhh!!
@morriganmetalempress I guess depends on the style of BM that you like. If you like that old raw norwegian style, then you are right, there are not many. most of the modern USBM have either death/thrash influences (which i like). But i think there are some that are that Raw style. Krieg, Norsekrieg, Inquisition, weakling, Kult ov Azazel all have a pretty good old school norwegian feel...but maybe its just me

This is actually quite promising. This band seems like they're still at the stage where they're just imitating older bands but if they can develop their own identity a little more they'll be a leader. The song flows well.
I am Scandinavian and have preformed in the Scandinavian scene (will not reveil any personal details or further infos) And I love some of the Chinese scene and what is is offering with the new records. Midwinter being one of my favorites. Not only from China but many of the Asian black metal bands have definitely been earning my respect lately.

This is the best Chinese black metal band, by far! Lately ever since I left Scandinavia and met my Chinese wife I been looking a lot into the Chinese black metal scene. I can't believe I am just not hearing them. I need to get my hands on their debut record.

The us has some good bands like judas iscariot, xasthur and kult ov azazel indeed, but still. Black metal is at its best from Scandinavia or Germany, although the dutch scene sounds awesome too.

This is actually quite promising. This band seems like they're still at the stage where they're just imitating older bands but if they can develop their own identity a little more they'll be a leader. The song flows well.

I am Scandinavian and have preformed in the Scandinavian scene (will not reveil any personal details or further infos) And I love some of the Chinese scene and what is is offering with the new records. Midwinter being one of my favorites. Not only from China but many of the Asian black metal bands have definitely been earning my respect lately.

Pull out a globe. Scandinavia is located in the north, hence the band Blut Aus Nord, Immortal constantly writing about it the northwind and the cold of the northern winter. It was foolish oppinions like that that lead nutters to follow on the church burnings in Norway in the name of 'Satan' (which wasn't the real reason the churches were burnt to begin with). It dons the face of evil as, itself, a face of rebilion against the social norms we have come to accept. Heinrich Himmler's ways were an oppression of people to the point of extermination. He removed the free will of men, women and children and split them, like lepers, from society and this, to me, is what black metal stands against. The anger against the chains that bind humanity to this 'god' and the lust to be a free man.

This is the best Chinese black metal band, by far! Lately ever since I left Scandinavia and met my Chinese wife I been looking a lot into the Chinese black metal scene. I can't believe I am just not hearing them. I need to get my hands on their debut record.
I may recommend these guys to some bigger labels I know in Europe and Canada.
