  • cliff gallup knocks me out!

  • king of the hill brought me here

  • I know this might sound sacrilegious to some but I think Gene Vincent blew Elvis away. Cliff Galup was one of the greatest rockabilly guitarists of all time. It's a sin that he wasn't in Rolling Stones list of greatest guitar players. They did have Link Wray which was cool. I bought the 10 record Gene Vincent set on Charly Records over 20 years ago and it's brilliant. Thanks for posting this song!

  • Better than Elvis I believe when it comes to rokin´.

  • Mother of God! I had never listened to this song! This is amazing! Rock at its best!

  • rock'n roll in the raw!

  • Gene "Be Bop a Lula" Vincent you´ll never be forgotten cos this is an eternal song.

  • Gene Vincent´s "B-I-Bickey-Bi-Bo-Go-Go" and Little Richard´s "Keep a Knocking" are the hardest songs recorded in the fifties!.

  • you may not believe what inspired this song, but it's:

    /watch?v=pP3VAtGLQms&feature=related

Gene could sing nice ballads as well as rock it well, despite a painful leg problem that eventually caused his death (bleeding ulcer from drinking to block continuous pain) Elvis, besides unleashing black music (Arthur Crudup's, specifically - 3 successful covers) for Sam Phillips, even despite The Col. had time to evolve) was more so gyrations & looks, his rich ballads were his forte, it seems SGS

  • Gene's always been my hero. B-I-Bickey-Bi, Bo-Bo-Go is a classic, and a prime example of the raw, youthful feel of 1950's rock 'n' roll.

  • once read that the guitar licks of cliff gallop could never be repeated live as he couldnt read music they where a spur of the moment thing, awesome guitarist, had holly ,cochrane or vincent lived longer to make a bigger impact on the music world elvis wouldnt be as big as he was.....

  • "Bi-Bickey-BI-Bo-Go-Go" is possibly the first "heavy metal" of rock history.

  • Gene Wasn't just very good, he was the BEST love you sweet Gene.

  • I think I've heard Brian Setzer play every lick on this record. And there are lots of good ones here!

  • the photo you see starting at 1.56 I made some years ago for a Gene vincent website. As a Gene fan I'm very happy to see it one a while!! its so cool!! B-I-Bickey-Bi, Bo-Bo-Go was the song I played during making this!!! thanks for putting it in your tube, now I know Gene won't be forgotten and I helped doing just that!!!

  • @monteur1965 Thanks for the contribution. That is a great photo!

  • @monteur1965 Did he have a busted foot in that Photo @1:56

  • Respond to this video... Yea great photo. I noticed the cast on his leg. This must have been a short time after Eddie Cochran and him were in the cab that crashed and Eddie was killed..

  • gene is great. rock-a-billy at it's finest. roy orbison, was a great rock-a-billy cat too! check out his work with teen kings on sun records. give a listen to his go, go, go.

  • This is what Rock n' Roll is about.

  • so amazing song !! just love it

  • great song

  • pure genius, i can play a lot of his songs on guitar

  • Raving, rolling, burning-fire genius.

  • He was supposed to be Capitol Records' answer to Elvis. He didn't catch on like Elvis but he was very very good. Check out Lonely Street which I also uploaded.

  • @John1948Five I'll take him over Elvis anyday...of course, i'd also take pretty much anyone over Elvis! (Buddy Holly is my fave rockabilly)

  • @John1948Five only reason elvis is so big is he didnt die young like most the others and girls were obsessed with him, musicaly he doesn't compare to eddie cochran and gene vincent and chuck berry

  • @RoninAvenger Opinions vary.
