@WLSGaming this was actually slowed down to show us the hand seals. real time speed is much faster, we see this in shippuden. if it was this speed this would be pointless since your opponent isn't going to stand there and watch you do your hand seals.

@realeques Because thats part of the plan. Kakashi Genjutsu'd Zabuza into using the Water Dragon, Kakashi would use his own, and mimic everything Zabuza did, so Zabuza would lose the will to fight since he thought Kakashi could see the future

@busesbang1 well if you remember, later on in both naruto and all the way up til where its animated now in shippuden they form the seals without saying anything except the name of the attack when the release it, so my guess is its a service to us fans to help us remember the seals and the names for them.....

@smokintheblaze The human eye records 24 images per second, from which it forms movement. This jutsu needs around 40-50 seals, but The Second was seen showing just 1, the final one.

Put it all together & you'll get The Seconds seal-forming speed.
