  • Nice looking bike. Just curious but which tuner did you end up going with for that exhaust/intake set uo?

  • @voltronpd

Thanks for the comment. I used the HD Screaming Eagle Race Tuner, and my dealer did the dyno tune. It worked out pretty well, I realized an additional 12 HP by adding the Kuryakin air cleaner, V & H pipes, and the Race Tuner.

  • Hell yeah, you got a lot of chrome to polish. Again, a great looking bike, I really like it.

  • do these newer bikes have Cat converters?

  • nice ride, love the pipes.im getting a 2012 in about a month, was wondering how much work in changing to the forward controls.leaning towards the V&H over screamin eagle now

  • @petercumblin

    Hey Peter-

As for changing the controls, about 2 hours or so. Not bad, did it to two other bikes before, a Sportster, and a Low Rider-

The V & H are MUCH louder than the Screaming Eagle....... On the order of 3 to 4 times louder. They also need a baffle to prevent backfiring during deceleration. All said and done, I still would prefer the V & H to the Screaming Eagle. I just bought a 2012 Street Glide, added SE Pipes, need more rumble, gonna' add Rinehart Duals!

  • @HDCustomGlide2011 Thanks Ray

Loud's a good thing, I'm on the highway at 5am heading into town to work already been taken out by a kamikaze kangaroo once not in a hurry to hit another. They also look good. You've done a great job on your bike

  • @HDCustomGlide2011

    Thanks Ray

I ended up buying a 2012 wide glide, was closer to where i wanted to go.just gotta wait for my other bike to sell now to pay for the pipe, filter and pro tuner.it dealer threw in screamin eagle slip ons but the 2 -1 -2 seem to be a lot quieter and don't have the same thump.but its still a great bike to ride

  • @petercumblin

  • Dear Ray...

Last time i commented on one of ur videos was about the seat.. I finaly installed the HD signature touring seat with the detachable sissy bar with Mid back rest and pad.. It was phase 2 for me.. Phase 1 was just the slip on V C slash out 4" oval cut.... It sounds nice and deep .. Would love to through a video to share with u... Ur bike like the coolest one ever, Man...

Anyway.. I am looking into raising the handel bar.. But the Dude at the dealer keep telling me there isn't a pro

  • @sicoz81

    Oz! What's shakin' bro!

Yeah, you gotta' show us a vid of your ride!

Hey, I just bought a 2012 Street Glide also, and already have the HD dealer installing a bunch of stuff on it to include the Chrome front end, gold flame Derby, Timer, and Cam cover, chrome clutch and brake control modules, other doo-dads, and a Phase 1 tune with my fave Kuryakin High Five Mach 2 black and chrome air cleaner, SE slip-on mufflers, and a dyno-tune, so stay tuned for a new vid of the new bike!

  • the bike looks great man and sounds awesome!

  • @KillxThemx

    Thanks Man!

    It does sound good!

  • I need some money, could I get a loan?

  • Hi Ray,

Love the look of the V & H's. Just wondering if they are deeper sounding than the S & S pipes? I have the S & S slip on's and they are very loud and when I back off pop all the time. I am buying some ear plugs to use will riding and was thinking I should buy a whole box of them and hand out to the neighbours. Do you have trouble accessing the oil cap at all with these pipes? I am leaving on a trip to the Aust National HOG Rally next week and riding from Sydney to Perth and back.

    John

  • @Musashininja

    Hey Bro-

I do not know if the V & H are louder than S & S, but they are VERY loud. I had the backfiring upon deceleration until I put Hard Kore Baffles in them. Now they are deep, with no backfiring.

    Good luck with the S & S!

    -Ray

  • Great job man!! Love the glide...looking forward to upgrade from my super low. Way better with the V&H. You have given me some good ideas for customizing it. Ride safe

  • Thanks for the comments! Yeah, I really like the how the V & H pipes look.

Throw up a vid when you get done with your ride.

    Ride safe Bro-

  • @HDCustomGlide2011 I totally loved your Lepera seat too...awesome. I hope they can ship to Europe. Do you ride with a passenger? Is it comfortable? The superlow is a nightmare :P and passenger comfort is very important to me. Thanks.

  • @ruimfsdias My wife will not ride on the bike with the Le Pera seat. It is very skinny width-wise, and quite hard. I purchased the Butty Buddy, and actually put that on the original Harley seat for her. Le Pera has other seats that are probably much more comfortable for the passenger than the silhouette.

    Good luck!

  • awesome bike, i have the same bike 2011 with short shot vance and hine and screaming eagle air filter stage 1. i like the mach 2 kuryaken. If i were to replace it with mach2, do i need to remap the bike?

  • @nazdet1

I don't know the answer to that. If the Screaming Eagle and Kuryakin both flow about the same amount of air, and you had a remap with the SE air cleaner, maybe you would not have to have another remap. I would ask your dealer or mechanic. Good luck with the Kuryakin!

    -Ray

  • Thanks for posting the vid HDCG. Looking really good. You mentioned stainless fasteners instead of chrome. Are they much better than the HD chrome ones (ie the chrome rust)? You must be running out of things to do!! Your family sure is kind to you :-)

  • Hey Bones, thanks for the comments.

I have had some aftermarket fasteners rust in the past, I guess the stainless is just preventative in nature.

Yes, I'm almost done with the bike! I'm going to have the Fat Bob fender (used to be the Wide Glide fender) installed with the idea of adding bags in the future. That, the fasteners, and the cam upgrade will pretty much finish the project.

Yes, my Wife is awesome, she loves the bike too.

    Safe Riding-

    -Ray

  • For the moment ..... Awesome bike

I will get bike with more praise and questions so i use ur experience to tune and modify my bike

  • Hey Oz, how are you doing!

Thanks again for the second comment!

I think it would be awesome to ride in Egypt! Maybe I'll be able to do it someday-

    Good luck with your bike.

    Ride safe-

    -Ray

  • awesome bike

  • Hey Z40, thanks for the compliment! I appreciate it!

    -Ray
