Btw.we can see some wings being added to enhance a cosmetic impact (often not so functional) and some which are a must for a raceway use.

The latter are often ugly but correctly shaped to provide downforce overall.

Have a look at the stock rear wing fitted on some regular Diablos: nicely mating with the body but almost useless for racing use,which was the main target for GTR .

to Pendemic - well,the rear stock wing was well known in Italy as a merely cosmetic (and expensive)gadget on the Countach (eventhougfh I loved it) and on Diablos as well.The stock wings had an irrelevant effect on road and if we look at racing modded Lambos they all had the stock rear wing removed and replaced with differently shaped wings so ugly but effectively working.

how can you plot a graph of power against rpm when you're constantly changing gear? i thought the dyno had to be calibrated to a certain gear then do the run in that gear from around 1500rpm to redline? that looked like they were just warming it up.

1 gear...6 gears.. it doesn't make any difference. the graph will still be a graph. actualy this dyno method is used to see the power transfered to the wheels in all gear ratios,not to see the overall power of the engine. that is usulay done with the 1:1 gear.
