dian wei was the first character i ever played as and remains one of my favourite characters to date... until dw6, in which he and most of wei were screwed over with crappy movesets.

For each DW that passes, the deaths seem less and less accurate.

DW3 seems to have the most accurate deaths.

I also wanna mention how much softer DW has gotten over the years. Take DW3, my first DW. Sun Jian was crushed by a boulder in a cutscene, this one, and others. They show people dying and mention it. I haven't played much of 6 'cause I'm not crazy about it yet, but 5 will rarely show anyone dying. Still love the series, but come on, man.

I know what you mean, and DW3 was where it was all at. 'Twas back in the day when its unintentional hilarity, over-the-top hordes of enemies in every other battle, and overall so bad it's good qualities asked for nothing but mindless fun short of the desire for pretentious historical accuracy and "deep character development."

@almostXdaewon YES!! & I thought I'm the only one! They made it more like war, with deaths depicted and so far that for a "bloodless" game you'll go "Ouwch!" I hope you enjoyed DW5, because DW5 is the last of its kind & DW6 is just plain fantasy and softy mushy sh*t. Yes you'll still enjoy the game but come on. If you go MultiRaid or something it's okay, but starting from DW6 everything starts to become fantasy-like; no more feasible ancient Asian design sigh. (lol SunJian always die freakishly)

Zhou Tai actually went out naked with only his sword and rescued Sun Quan when the latter was ambushed. Read the novel. That's about as manly as it gets. Fighting with your schlong dangling around. I'd be too scared I'd lose a ball or something.
