  • If you watch close you can see Master Sauer rotate the guys arm for a shoulder crank, not necessarily an omoplata as much as say a one armed kimura.

  • the armbar at the beginning is ridiculous!!

  • When you're an older grappler and are not as fast as the younger athletic guys. The older grappler must make the faster younger fight at their pace. Nice and controlled, technique over strength and quickness. Every movement master sauer is using, is calculated, using as little strength as possible resulting in great efficiency!

  • you can hear pedro's iron grip nearly ripping the gi haha

  • inverted armbar.

  • That foot in the balls sweep is brutal!

  • arte suave

  • For a black belt that guy has TERRIBLE posture.

  • agreed

  • @sad18240 I was thinking the same...

  • He either pushed the wrist in for a wrist lock or pushed it up for a modified kimura. And Bosszero is correct, a true BJJ player will execute technique and not rely on speed or strength.

  • na that was an omoplata, not armbar. Amazing technique non the less.

  • nope. That was either an arm press or inverted armbar. tough to say from the angle. But definetly not an omoplata..

  • wrong, totalllllly not omoplata. you think he could finish an omoplata laying down? doesn't matter if you're a black belt, if you don't have leverage you dont have a submission there

  • WAT THE HELL that was like helicopter arm bar wow amazing

  • They're moving slowly because, when you understand how to execute technique perfectly, you don't need to move fast.

How fast does a boa constrictor move?

  • @bosszeroboss it moves extremely fast as it strikes...

  • and then what does it do?

  • @hoops2425 is jiu jitsu a striking art?

  • @bosszeroboss I agree because I've seen guys roll slowly and beat fast guys. However, what I've never understood is if this is the case, why is it that guys in tournaments usually go faster? Is it right to say that their technique isn't as perfect, or could it mean that sometimes execution calls for speed? Anyone?

  • @PayatLumpia im guessing because u have a limited time and adrenaline gets pumping so everyone moves faster then when they roll on the mat at their academy

  • why are they moving so slowly?

  • Because this is chess and they are working technique. You gain more(especially at an entry level, if you look for tech then trying to go full blast when rolling.

  • You have roll with an advanced bjj blackbelt to really understand... You'll know.. When he is pulling on you or has is passing your guard. It will feel like a slow freight train coming, you its coming, but you can't stop it. Because he is so tight and so heavy...... its truly a humbling experience.haha

  • Once again, amazing. Thanks for posting these. I hope there will be more!
