don't people understand without off shore drilling most of the worlds oil will be out of reach and their very way of life will end?? talking about eating regularly, not just trips to the mall . sierra club is wacko. these supposed cleaner sources will not be as efficient when the subsidies end. making people get rid of?? because we live in a free nation where people have choice. make your own choices and leave mine alone.
What is "hypocritical" about people using cars when different forms of transportation are lobbied out of existence? When mass transit system funding is stopped in lieu of bailing out bad business practices of banks? When Billions of Dollars are donated to Oil Companies in the form of tax breaks to enable them to rape and pillage our fish, oceans, land and natural resources leaving our few and stretched resources to clean up their mess? The problem in this world is people like that jogger.

It would be much easier to get around almost any city in the United States if there were fewer gas powered vehicles clogging the transportation routes. Bicycling, for example, around cars is unpleasant and dangerous. The same is true of skateboarding, walking, and all non-motor-vehicle mods of transport. The problem is, every city's transportation network today is designed around motor vehicles to the exclusion of other modes of transport. Yes, that fellow at the end really misses the mark
@dystopianpast Especially the HUGE SUV's and over sized trucks that are dangerous when it comes to seeing around them, when they are in accidents, they are a menace to our environment and an enabler of big oil. We need to be more vocal in making ashamed those who drive oversized vehicles and lobby for only electric cars in city's if not just the equivalent of golf carts.
