  • I bought this book probably 3 year ago and only read some of it. Ive been a vegetarian for awhile now and began to read the book again. You've totally inspired me that if you try hard it will work out thank you so much for your video

  • I haven't read the book but does Skinny Bitch mention Indian food? Because they have the BEST vegetarian and vegan meals. omg.

  • @missartist123 I dont remember if they do BUT I love Indian and often make my own versions. Yummy!

  • To me it's funny that people can be so protective of their meat eating and yet don't want to look at the realities of where the meat they eat comes from. I've had so many conversations with people who in the same sentence will say how they LOVE burgers, but could never watch a video about where that burger came from, the industrialized farm it was raised on. Nor do they want to think about the environmental damage those farms cause. People can be amazingly disconnected and selfish.

  • @olivethis it's so true! I kind of weave in and out of meat eating but after seeing a truck full of chickens from Sanderson Farms (smashed together and defecating everywhere) that looked malnourished and rash ridden I was really put off from eating meat. My father brought home a package of chicken breasts from that company and I refused to eat it. I felt like a snob but seeing how those chickens were treated was horrible.

  • @missartist123 Good for you! And you aren't a snob, you were standing on principle and basic humanity. It takes some time getting people to connect the dots to what they are eating and where it has been. I'm guessing maybe 1-3% of the western world even wonder about their food's source. If you're dad thinks you are really insane, you can always show him video from and industrialized chicken farm. I am surprised some men who have seen those videos did total 180ºs, they were that disgusted.

  • @olivethis My dad's beginning to realize and understand about what I'm talking about. It's just he's a typical guy who just picks up anything he sees at the store and thinks it's ok to eat. :P He was kind of like, "Buh...but.....But I brought you chicken...*sad face*" He wants everything to be easy and simple (when it comes to shopping) but I keep telling him that just because the package says GREEN or NATURAL doesn't mean that it is. He gets so frustrated. lol

  • love the video, try "yerba matte" tea, it is MaJoR energy boost, u wouldn't believe it's possible from an herbal tea, no caffeine, try 1-2, even 3 cups in the morning, just to see how you like it. you can find it at arabic grocery stores, if you don't mind non-organic, & it's much cheaper than from the health food stores, huge markup in price

  • i luv when u say ur proud to be a skinny bitch lol your wicked cute :)

  • I like you :) you're funny!I would read every boo you would write...but I have 1 negative comment....I'm sorry but if you think you were fat before you are so wrong!!!you just were not toned up :) hey,btw I'm going vegan for life!!!!

  • lovely persona :D i feel even more inspired now

  • I am 12... I weigh 86 lbs. But I am unhealthy like I look great but I eat like shit so I am gonna KINDA go on the skinny bitch diet.

  • I love your energy and personality in your videos, but seeing your before pictures you look amazing. It makes me think that i need to do something with myself. Im 6'1 and 70 kilograms.

  • The only problem with the soy products that they promote in the book are processed soy foods ie, soydogs. Also being vegan, it is very important to supplement your diet with a veg b12, and vegan calcium supp. remember spirulina unlike what is says in the book is not a good source of b12. Google Gabriel Cousens...he is the expert at Vegan diets

  • @deliciousdemon1 I agree soy products are very processed. VERY man made and I eat them sparingly. I didn't necessarily take every single word that the authors state in the book and make it a part of my routine. More like vegan guidelines. I found it funny, inspiring, and I applied the parts that work for me in my life. Gabriel Cousens is amazing. I once met a man who works with him, very inspiring and full of knowledge in vegan diets.

  • you are inspirational, i love your energy! & that book is great! it changed my whole view on food!

  • @heatherlynnebell thanks so much!!

  • Also, I don’t like the idea that ‘Skinny Bitch’ makes it seem like being vegan and eating nothing but organic food is the only way of eating, or else you’ll get cancer. (I know I’m being dramatic, but just go with me on this) EVEN THOUGH I’M VEGAN, I feel that eating is a very specific thing for most individuals, and for me being vegan is what I prefer but that doesn't mean it's the only "right way" to eat.

  • @Kaci51604 funny I didnt get that out of the book. Maybe I just heard those things as humorous ways to get a point across. That book mostly inspired me to give the vegan diet a try and see for myself what it would do for me. also, I have the audio book format, so I only heard it, I never read the text or had something to refer back to on the other resources they give. My experience was simply pure entertainment and inspiration to just go vegan.

  • I'm a vegan, however I found 'Skinny Bitch' to be extremely one sided, and biased. It was a fun read, and I enjoyed it to a certain extent, but quite a few of the sources they used had a very specific agenda. If you’re looking for another good book, try ‘The Jungle’, or ‘My Year of Meats’.

  • I'm currently reading Skinny Bitch! My favourite line "get your cankles to the health store" hahaha... it really makes you think about what we eat though! You remind me of Sarah Jessica Parker :) xx

  • @Nahteb lol yes that book has so many funny lines!! I really enjoyed it. My fav part is the opening line to the dairy chapter about going and having a drink from your mothers tatas. lol Yes it sure does make you think about what you eat. Its been a year since last June that I became vegan. I cant imagine ever going back! cheers!!

  • @kimber0987 Yes I have stayed with it! It's been over a year now. Probably a good time to do a follow up video huh? I've never felt better! Thx for the post!

  • maybe im just crazy but i think u looked fine in the first photo ?!?!?

  • @starlastarlove awww thx you're so sweet ;)

  • great skin!

  • I'm a Vegan for more than 9 years now and can say that it has NO negative effects at all period

  • Wonderful video. Great information. Thank you so much!! xxxoooxx

  • Started implementing what the book recommended. But I already had limited red meat and pork intake. I was already drinking very limited sodas. But my change involved drinking 2% milk. I quit drinking milk and try to purchase organic and non hormone induced chicken..Lost 10 pounds from 200 to just over 190 in 3 weeks. Skin would breakout before, and I havent has a single breakout since. Milk is badddddd for you! Rotting meat in your stomach is badddd for you. Good luck and you can do it

  • Oh wow! Great job! Thanks for the motivation. Is there a lower age limit for this skinny bitch way? I'm only 14 and I never really ate meat since I was 6 exept chicken. I also get terrible heartburns from cheese, so I don't eat it. Where can you download the audios? I only found the pregnency one on iTunes.

  • I bought the audio book for Skinny Bitch on iTunes. No age limit at all on it. I eat all the time, lots of great food just no animal products at all. They also talk about other stuff too, like sodas, junk food, smoking, etc. its a great listen/read! Let me know if you download it! and thx for the message!!

  • This is great! I wanna get this book!

  • maybe you were just meant to eat meat and it isnt for you then. we all have to do what we think is good for the self glad to hear you decided to stop if it was so horrible for you.

  • well in that case, the book is a scam and not a "great resource."

  • some people do not do as well on a vegan diet. however vegan diets can be healthy if you do it correctly. the majority of things they say- no refined sugar, carbs, eat fruits and veges and wholegrains are healthy foods, but they do not include all the details needed for a completely well rounded vegan diet in there

  • 6:20 Sexyyy :D

  • OK....at 7:36...I have the tanning lotion, I have the lighting, and I can get a pair of heals. But I am never going to look like that no matter what!
