He's already better than Adam (I know, that's setting the bar kind of low) and could well be a fixture for LFC for years to come. But the lad needs playing time. With Lucas coming back next season and Gerrard likely playing a more auxiliary role as his career winds down, Jonjo could serve as a worthy successor and an anchor in the midfield that we currently lack. Not quite ready for prime time yet, but he's on the cusp.

@ak47popper He's definitely been progressing. Even in his brief stints since coming back from loan his positioning is miles better as is his defensive pressurization and vision. Very encouraging.

We should have kept Mereilles, buying adam henderson and downing ruined his chances so he left..SHould have never sent J Cole cause he wasnt playing well under Woy bec Woy wanted to do stuff he didnt get would have been good under Kenny..a couple of big signings add to the great talented youngsters we have would have put us in a good position this year but we made wrong choices

henderson is not bad if played in the middle of the park rather than on the right. He is a high tempo player and can put pressure on defences. He regularly captains u21s. I do agree we have over-payed for him but not by much.

But, yes Shelvey is in a league of his own....

I know its good for him he went on loan to Blackpool but his standard is at least premier league and i am really surprised that Bolton never took JonJo on loan as every recent Bolton youngster loan has turned out well for them like Wilshere and Sturidge and Bolton really need someone of JonJo's caliber to help them climb the table and they would help develop Jonjo better for Liverpool as its a higher standard of football. Well it's Bolton's loss for not making third time lucky. YNWA
