  • Ive had a LR disco & a RR sport and a cayenne turbo. I've taken them all off road and they perform equally as good, cayenne & RR sport were fantastic in deep snow with road tyres

  • I bet driving that thing around the ring was a real butthole clencher. I imagine it'd be better for the land rover to do it in the wet, it will at least slide then, it's so high centered it seems like it would tip with any grippy lateral G's at all.

  • @Romandiesel It's only good at rallying. Try going offroad not damaging the body kit. There'll be loads of problems trying to get over a trunk or up the slope slowly.. :D BUT ITS GOOD! FASTEST SUV in the world! I prefer RangeRover cos of it's look though. :)

  • try a ferrari you will be done in 3 minutes

  • @redbull9679 it takes a Ferrari Enzo and the ferrari 599xx about 6 minutes to go around the Nurburgring fastest laps ever recorded on the track

  • Why are you driving a 4wd on a race track?

  • @Memphis35 Just to show that it is also fast! and or the heck of it:)

  • @Romandiesel i have not seen a cayenne leave a gravel road yet im guessing they may be good for rallying but nothing else

  • a little slower please

  • A Ford Transit van can do it in 10:08 :-)

    Press the pedal harder....

  • yeah but thats sabine

  • so maybe Land rover needs to put Sabine in the hot seat ;-)

  • ....and do the lap on a dry track

  • @stagsimon

exactly Sabine manage to do about 10 minutes in Ford Transit Van so 9 minutes for 500 hp rage rover is nothing

  • @mallah656

Your acting like 1 minute around the track is nothing

  • @TheVtieg6 no what i mean that with better driver who have experience of this track as he or she know his \ her hand like Sabine she could managed to do that in much less time

  • how fast does the cayenne turbo s goes around the ring? i bet faster

and X5 M? once again i bet faster

still i d go for the range rover, range rover is not about going fast

  • "you bet" doesn't mean very much. How about you link me to a video that shows.

I am not claiming the S/C Sport is faster, but you are making an uninformed guess there. Land Rover have put a video up of their time, how about Porsche and BMW do the same!

  • @lowlifehippie Yea the Sport Supercharged is .3 seconds slower 0-60 than the Turbo S but lets not forget that it's close to $60,000 cheaper than the Sport fully loaded... and where I live barely anyone has Range Rovers, and everyone have Cayennes!

  • but can a cayenne go off-road i think that would be a no

  • Yea, exactly.

  • @lowlifehippie Reports are the Cayenne did it in 8.34. However the Range Rover test was not with a racing driver, so I guess the speeds are comparable. I would still take a Range Rover over the Porsche Cayenne any day even if the RR's fastest time stood at 8.55.

  • @lowlifehippie Yup, might as well compare it to sports cars if you're going to mention the X5M or Cayenne Turbo - the same approach to technology aimed at on-road performance is also paid to off-road performance, something which is TOTALLY unmatched on any other vehicle in production, and certainly so if you're talking about on-road performance as well. Watch this video, then google 2011 range rover sport rock crawling - it's a spectacular feat of engineering.

  • You think sport or nofrmal is better? Im going to hunters on monday in guildford.

  • They are both VERY different. I suggest you drive both and then you decide.

  • How do they vary?

  • The sport feels tighter and more reactive like a car, while the normal Range Rover feels smoother and built for comfort. It all depends on what you prefer.

  • @Bosnian808 as you track has limits of itself, even 500 hp wouldnt matter if its a sharp turn, physic laws applies to all car,Rangie can go faster on a straight line but limited to fast turns and sharp corners.

  • @Bosnian808 I think the supercharged(normal) is better. IF you're using it more for offroad and travelling. The "normal" RR is also much more expensive. :(

  • Would look much better from a rear mounted camera in the interior to give viewer the drives prospective as he approaches turns and does a better job of showing speed and forces to the viewer.

  • theres a video of a tdv8 range rover sport doing 9:30

  • top

  • See the above video response for an other take on the same drive around the Nurburgring.

  • Great car !!!!!!!!

    'A'

  • looks fast
