  • RATM front man could easily stand in for Flav!

  • actually not, biohazard had politics also, and came way before, public enemy an anthrax too. As I said, rage is awesome, but is not the one which started the whole thing

  • i think chuck shoudla replaced cornell. audioslave failed compared to RATM

  • @deviss123 I think you need to think twice. Is your opinion, I know, but that is being an asshole. Cornell did some awesome songs next to Tom, Tim and Brad. I won't deny RATM is my actual favorite band, but I don't hate others because of joining a broken band and making a lot of music. Tom, Cornell, Tim and Brad. All of them kept sending messages of freedom, not in the same amount as in RATM, but they did.

  • noooooooo

  • No, because Zack is still beast. One Day As A Lion is a fucking amazing band

  • Zack has the best flow, in the world.. Chuck would have ruined the music, SO much..

  • Considering that PE was arguably Rage's main inspiration, it would have been a perfect fit. Zack's flow is okay, but Chuck is untouchable.

  • considering that the song is from chuck D I don't think he is able to ruin his own song.

  • tricky's version is better

  • Fantatic. I've always thought about a collaboration between these guys.

  • Awsome collaberation since PE and Anthrax

  • Dude, what are you talking about, beacsue of teh collaberation with Public Enemy and Anthrax created a new music style called "Rap-Core"! And the song "Bring tha Noise" influenced Rage, Body Count, Limb Biskit, and other bands of that colaber. Plus, Scott Ian is a huge fan of Publis Enemy. Now you can shut you mouth asswhipe!!!!

  • unfortunately rage and PE's collaboration w/ anthrax gave us Papa Roach and Limp bizqit...but they had no way of knowing it would lead 2 that and i'm sure tom and the crew feel as bad about it as we do :)

  • Yea, you got a point there. Imagine what PE feels.

  • They were just doing what they felt was right at the time....

  • Well let's not fault them too much. PE and Anthrax come from New York, and in the 80s, all the music there was driven by hardcore which was punks and skins borrowing a lot from hip hop. I would submit that rap-core as we know it was inevitable.

The closest thing to it on the West Coast might be Suicidal Tendencies.

  • i dont think it matters which music influenced who.. limp bizkit and papa roach both suck.. but all i know is the song chuck d and anthrax created was a classic.

  • why people always forget about run DMC and aerosmith first rap-rock colaboration? as far of bands like urban dance squad, biohazard, stuck mojo, RHCP and Faith no more that came way before RATM and P.E./Anthax colaboration? Rage is good, but they are not pionieers, so nobody that did rap-rock after them have to bow down for it

  • To be technical,Hip Hop and Rock traditions converged early on in rap's emergence as a recorded art form.

Members of Blondie,Jean-Micheal-Basquiat,Malcolm McClaren, the practically standardized sampling of Kraftwerk,Trecherous Three's 'Body Rock.'

    I agree;the history goes deep.

  • cool
