hey I have a question. What video settings should I put it in so my videos could be CLEAR HD. Because, they are HORRIBLE when it comes to quality when I full screen the video. iMovie had better quality.
FCP 7 was getting long in the tooth . it needed at least 64bit architecture and background rendering and 4K support. for that, I'm gr8ful. But there are lot's of things in FCPX that need addressed for my workflow, including XML and EDL export.
how come. whenever i try to import media, the file just plays audio with no video?

In the Preferences-Playback menu item, make sure you are set to Higher Quality rather than High Performance.
