sorry but you give no reason why it's better...what the graphics maybe? you realise the mod is years old now and uses the 1942 engine so it is of course dated, but the gameplay even today remains the same and is and always will be better than the very lame battlefront series.

you can't really comment that another game is better unless you played GC back in the day on full 64 player servers...now they were fun.

GC Rules. No other star war game is better. Force unleashed even pales in comparison to the fun ive had on GC.

Battlefront is a joke. Battlefront 2 is a slightly better joke. GC RULES ooga + Renwood's space pirate action is unmatched!

yeah Meshcraft was his name, said he had his own 3d graphics company, also I think he said he worked for lucasarts at one stage.

But yeah the Meshwars started when Meshcraft joined the forums and basically bragged how easy an AT-AT was to model and walk in game.

Many were fooled but I was never, and it split the community to the point where the devs basically offered him a spot on their dev team if he could get an AT-AT walking.

Yeah. That involved that guy who claimed he had a working AT-AT model that could walk properly and all he did was post non-AT-AT related things to prove he actually did what he said...right? In the end, it turned out that the model he had walked just like the one the DEVs made.

I was actually just discussing with an old GC acquaintance (GuyonCouch) that we should try getting together some of the old crew one upcoming weekend and organise a server.

who knows, if popular we could end up having the server up full time.

I want to be a part of that, but my dad went andgot the newest looking PB client while thinking any PB client can be use for any PB game...now im stuck with a client for Bf2, and i dont even have that!

um, that doesn't make sense. Every game that has punkbuster, is not affiliated with other games, and there should not be any conflict on having multiple games installed all using punkbuster.

As each game comes with it's own punkbuster files which doesn't effect the other games, there is no need to download one specific PB, in fact it's impossible because punkbuster doesn't work that way.

When u install 1942, at the end it asks you to install PB. Same when you install BF2, it asks to install PB because it is different files. It is installing specific PB files for that game.

if you follow instructions on how to install the files from the PB site it will tell u to put the files in your game/pb directory. each game has it's own pb folder.

back in the day there used to be full 64 player servers, even when there was only that one hoth map.

it just took such a long time to build the mod and to have more than one map, so alot of people loosed interest.
