@ProletarianTakeover The liberal apologetics for islamic atrocities get me furious. Goes against all they claim to stand for. They fuck over the very people they think they are speaking for, leaving them stuck with sharia instead of being entitled to the better laws of their new country. If they wanted islamic rule, maybe they wouldn't have come here. Lots of them wanted to escape and LEAVE that horrible system, not be stuck with it again in their new home.

@ScentedNectar I've tossed that aspect of liberalism. I'm not at all a supporter of Israel though. Fundamentalists in general make me sick. I never understood why leftists like myself were so into support for Islamic rule in the middle east. What a good nation needs is a classless society with socialist aspects INCLUDING the absence of religion.

I'm far off the scale as far as leftism goes, but compared to the conservative majority (a bunch of Christian sociopaths), I think a liberal would be a pretty good thing to be.

@Dalesy617 I have a good deal of personal experience whereby people who identify as somewhere on the left, call me a racist and islamophobe for being against inhumane koran/hadith-based **cultural** practices (not race!).

Just because the right is against islam (many for the wrong reasons), SOME of the left thinks they must embrace/tolerate islamic practices, and without realizing it, they become apologists and accommodationalists for them. Good intentions but fooled by 'enemy of my enemy' etc.

@ScentedNectar Also, the left might overall be the best choice, but no side is perfect. This walking on ice around islamic issues that many liberals do in fear of offending, happens to be a flaw on the liberal side. Can't ignore it, it's a reality. I don't know, however, what percentage of liberals do this, just that some do. I've personally experienced it.
