Quinoa is an Incan super food/protein originated from PERU, highly regarded in that culture for its nutritional benefits. Just a quick fact, Thanks :)
I get it now! The husband interrupts in the middle of the cooking process thus the name: cookinterruptus… lol Great video! Now you have a good excuse to get a brand new strainer =) You're very sweet, keep posting!
Unfortunately I have found quinoa to be bitter. I am not very fond of it.
Ah, yes... I know about kitchen tools going to other uses. A couple of my glass baking pans were taken by hubby to etch a circuit board in the old days of homebrew computers (early 1980s).
Might want to check out the company that you buy the quinoa from. Most quinoa is pre-rinsed now to remove the natural saponin on the grain. The saponin is what causes the bitter flavor. If not, you need to rinse the grain in warm water and strain it before cooking it. Then it has a nutty flavor.
Thanks so much for the great recipes, good information and the fun entertainment. My Dad turned us on to your show and we love it. Even our 2.5 yr old son is a fan!

When you said, "Maybe something red on there if I was Martha Stewart...." I noticed your spatula was red on there.
