actually i can play wonderwall myself its easy Noel is not a better guitarist but hes a better musician than Clapton and them because hes written so many great not good great songs

@pakistaniinvasion what is the difference between a musician and a guitarist? They're the same, surely? You mean song-writer, I think, and that's a matter of opinion. In terms of technical ability to play and write guitar music, even Noel wouldn't argue he's better than the greats such as Clapton and Hendrix! Hendrix was completely revolutionary in terms of making the electric guitar an icon. I am starting to think you have never actually heard Hendrix or any music apart from Oasis. A shame.

@THthefirst actually i do listen to Hendrix i love his music i listen to pink floyd my mum introduced me to Clapton with Layla i really like that but in my opinion Noel is just the better song - writer and yeah that is what i meant for me nothing can compare to oasis' songs like you said its just a matter of opinion

@pakistaniinvasion fair enough, I'll settle for that. The thing though is that Hendrix and Clapton's music has been applauded for 40 years and has influenced legions of artists. Oasis were viewed as out of date by many people even in the late 90s and certainly viewed as irrelevant in terms of making new music (though their live gigs were still great) in the 2000s. Not sure that Oasis will ever be regarded in the same league as the true greats, even though their early stuff was pretty good.

@THthefirst guitarists are musicians,yes,but musicianship includes songwriting,singing and general musicality.common sense..what the dude's saying is that noel isnt a better guitarist but he is a better musician because he writes better songs,sings better, etc.

If you think Noel Gallagher is a better guitarist than Clapton, Hendrix, Townsend, Marr, Page etc then you obviously know nothing about music.

Even Noel doesn't think he's better than these people. I've heard him talk about being in a room with Marr and being stunned about what he can do with a guitar. He's on record saying Marr is in a different league.

I guess you've never heard of these people and think wonderwall is hard to play
