well.. i must say avg is good but the thing is .. there's no such thing called a perfect anti virus they all have a good and bad features like how fast can they detect viruses or how long the scanning takes and so on...

the most important is update it evet time you use ur pc because that's what make the software powerful and good and faster...

i personally used AVG and Norton (2009)and Nod they all good cus they are easy to use. fast and good.

This little kid is in trouble he's using shitty Internet Explorer. Hey little kid save yourself download firefox and avoid using IE for anything other than Windows Update. IE is the reason most people get their PC's fucked up from viruses and spyware in the first place. The only downside to Firefox is its a drain on system memory.

no no no man. its got good detection. ive used avast and avira when my comp was slow as fuck and they both detected like 3 viruses but avg detected 100's of viruses.

Cause AVG wants you to buy their, Internet Security, or AVG Anti-Virus Pro Edition. You could get a Keygen and get them. But if you dont want to do that, get

Avira  or

Avast

i use norton for many yrs. bef. so im not familiar in AVG. i download it already (free edition). in my friend's computer(w/ AVG) if he search a website there's check mark in that site so that means that site is safe bec. of avg. lol the same thing happened to me and its probably because the avg only is installed for internet explorer instead of mozilla firefox.... if u ask me, reinstall it and make sure it goes for mozzila instead of internet.. lol :D

AVG 8.0 is leading the way right now we have #1 spot hmmm how did we get that? umm jest maybee we find more viruses, maleware, and spyware than any other virus scanner. Mostly noobs,the naive and the computer illiterate use AVG Free. These types love AVG because they say it is easy to use and almost never bothers them with any pop-ups or warnings. Of course AVG Free never bothers them,it hardly ever finds any virus to warn them about

In short,AVG Free is crap

AVG has proven itself to be a miserable performer at best. Missing almost 20%,while trying to detect known malware,in some tests.

With respect, this doesn't seem to incorporate a firewall in the Free version (for that, you need the pay-for AVG Pro I think). Why not just use free ZoneAlarm or similar firewall? Anyway, AVG 8.00 is an excellent antivirus & antispyware combined.
