compare overclocking tith car tuining! There are small tweaks that can be made to enhance ones parts without any greater risks than running them normally! But ofcourse you have to find a balance between performance and reliability! A lot of 3rd party manufacturers factory-overclock their products? Is that bad? Most computer parts don't have warrentys over 5 years anyway... and the average survival of a built system in terms of performance is about 1,5 years... so your gonna change em anyway. PAX

Malice is an evil ambition. Killing something because it endangers your livelihood is not en act of evil, it is an act of self defense. Killing something because the act amuses you is an act of evil. Thinking they are easily blurred is what is hasty and immature.

I have been thinking about my allegiance to the factions of this game. I will start with the Cybran Nation and free the oppressed symbionts from their UEF slavemasters. Then I will help the Aeons win because they have good intentions too.
The only way this ending really makes sense would if the Cybran worlds were mostly self-sufficient while the UEF and Aeon empires had their economies interconnected between their worlds. Result = the UEF and Aeon are hopelessly weakened while the Cybrans remain as powerful as before and easily crushes their enemies.
Not really, the cybrans technology was far superior to that of both the UEF and the aeon. However they were loosing heavily due to numbers and availiable resources; although in that time, with superior technology, they could easily catch up to and match the other factions.
(Also they do inhabit earth at the end, so the UEF looses, and they only have the Aeon left to fight.)
actuallu uef relied mostly on cybran labor(lost after the virus) and trade (lost after the gate destruction). so they were severely weakened in the cybran ending and earth is taken over, along with all other uef planets,by cybran ex-slaves. with the uef numbers thinned by the rebel attacks of ex-slaves and their resources crippled by the end of trade, in the end only tech matters-where the cybrans excel.only aeon are left.
and on top of that stealth is where cybran excel, when the gates onlined, the cybrans oculd occupy any uef or cyrban world, and would be very difficult to pinpoint. Rendering the aeons strength useless.

Actually in the 5 years time the Cybran Nation flourishes safely and since they destroyed all the quantum gateways fast travel is almost impossible so the Cybrans become, in a way, untouchable.
I would too, same as I would like to see Starwars take on Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica take on the Reavers in Firefly. And feed my inner nerd. but my point is the loading screen for the UEF is almost identical to the stargate portal jump in effects, watch more closely.
I just fond out about the game recently, and I have to say the plot is very interesting, since each faction seems a bit hard to place as good or evil in its own way.
I dont think the war is over. First on all the planets with more than 2 faction on it will try to destroy the other, then after 5 years they war will continue. de virus is more like 'a cease fire'.

I would too, same as I would like to see Starwars take on Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica take on the Reavers in Firefly. And feed my inner nerd. but my point is the loading screen for the UEF is almost identical to the stargate portal jump in effects, watch more closely.

Yeah ignore my part about Wraith vs Aeon or whatever. I agree with you. Quantum Gates are a rip-off of Stargates minus the alien technology.

I think it's fascinating how ideals such as order (UEF), freedom (Cybran), and peace (Aeon) have dark sides in this game.

I just fond out about the game recently, and I have to say the plot is very interesting, since each faction seems a bit hard to place as good or evil in its own way.

I dont think the war is over. First on all the planets with more than 2 faction on it will try to destroy the other, then after 5 years they war will continue. de virus is more like 'a cease fire'.

Yeah, the Cybran plan is so flawed. The other two factions are the only ones that end the war for sure.
