  • Those people that disliked this are the unhealthy or don't want to become healthy :P

  • amen brother! :)

  • Well preach preacher preach!

  • Thank you so much for saying this! I am a teacher, but have decided to stay home with my little ones the last couple of years. I wouldn't trade it for anything! I so appreciate your poetry and thoughts!

  • Cute and interesting video. Thank you. Brilliant! I love it! You can also visit my channel for more inspiring videos.

  • Thank you for your work on this outstanding production. Keep it up!

  • I agree with Bannister4012. This needs to get of YouTube and into the world that isn't getting any better. And I am getting off YouTube now to go love the one thing that it's still a miracle I have with all the physical, emotional, and spiritual garbage of today I consume: I still have a life. And love it, I do.

  • My Health class teacher's page brought me here...Thank you Mr. Richards! =3

  • I would personally pay money for this to be an ad campaign run on television

  • this is so much bull-shit

  • @ericssson Your so much bull-shit. Would you rather be a fat-ass couch potato or would you rather live to be a hundred?

  • This is so awesome! LOVE it! Thank you for your awesome work, creativity and passion. If we don't all get down to business and start teaching children and families how to be healthy, we will have a huge price to pay (no pun intended) when the most obese generation of children gets old enough to start suffering the multiple medical consequences they are on a collision course with. This appeals to children and adults alike and it's catchy and inspiring.

  • I just had to laugh when he said 'The wealthiest country'

  • I just had to laugh when he said "The wealthiest country"

  • Incredible. I am a strong health advocate and I'm in school to educate myself as well as others about this issue we have in this world. The way we overlook our health as if it's negligible needs to change. It's our lives and our Earth at stake. THIS needs to exposed to EVERYONE because health education is equally as important as academics, if MORE SO.

  • Right on, Taylor Mali. I am with you. I love the way the word animation entertains and communicates the impactful message with clarity. Thanks for sharing.

  • Amen!

  • OH... In love!!! Posting now to hell and back...

  • parents need to be involved....(period) in all aspects of school. The responsibility of parenting needs to be handed back to the parents instead of the school system handling it all

  • only one person didn't like this video. what a loner.

  • amen

  • An apple a day keeps the doctor away \\ thumbs up UP

  • This reminds me of a particularly poignant (and funny) blog post I read today. Let me share:

    theproductivecough{dotcom}/2011/04/april-nutrition/

  • amen

  • I absolutely love Taylor Mali. His experience as an educator is invaluable!

On a separate note, how do you make this form of animation?? Thank you!

  • :/ I was totally eating chips while watching this...... *sighs at she chucks it in the trash*

  • what program did you use to create this video?

  • @reginaerwin

Not sure if you got an answer to your question, but the program looks like wordle.net

  • @mtgal48 I'm pretty sure they created it using adobe after effects, it's a long process

  • I love this video!

  • Catchy, and whats needed to have a healthy America!

  • awesome AE

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!... for addressing the health issues we are facing with our youth, parents, and country as a whole. It's about time someone, outside of the health education field, advocated about the importance of requiring health education in school. As a health educator, who is always looking for more advocates, I give you two thumbs up! I will be sharing the video with our state's community of health educators.

  • Excellent message and production!

  • Fantastic!

  • Awesome! Will share with my students today.

  • I like this video. It is excellent.

  • wonderful.

  • Guess the 2,135 Americans who watched this! realized the truth hurts.

  • Just got a chance to watch this . . . finally . . . great poem!

My dad was a pianist and teacher and would have absolutely loved this poem. He was very frustrated, while teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District, by seeing children show up for school day after day with nothing truly nutritious in their lunch boxes. No wonder there was a discipline problem.

I'll be sharing this poem with everyone I know and hope that others will as well.

Keep up the great work, Taylor!

  • This is a great kinetic typography, love it! Awesome true poem too!
