I am a western person with western education and yet I like this song somehow.

But that's the point: to correctly understand history, you have to see it from a neutral perspective (meaning not the winning side, but also from German or Japanese perspectives in WWII or maybe the Russian perspective in the Cold War), you have to simply forget today's standard opinions.

And this is why I even find Soviet Russia interesting, despite my western education and social environment.
