I played last night and for some reason whenever I pulled out a pistol with no attachments during one match everything in the game world turned to infa-red. I can't figure out if it was a glitch or if I unlocked something I don't know how to use. Either way the beta is full of glitches, loop holes, and bad code. Arguably, the game needs to be pushed back or DICE will need to invest a serious amount of time and personnel to correct these issues before October's launch.

The SOFLAM cannot be used in the beta because its purpose is for jets (no jets in beta). Because jets cant drop bombs on their own, the SOFLAM allows players to coordinate where jets can dish out bombs (or air to ground missiles). This was to balance the power of the jets

its just a laser designator, attack helis and Jets gets the designated targets on their HUD and their can fire air to ground fissles at them(or simply shoot it themselves).

I have the M40A5 so you can unlock after the SOFLAM, the SOFLAM is vehicle lockon only.
